DRAINING THE COOLANT IS NOT NECESSARY. IF YOU NOTICE IN YOUR VIDEO YOU STILL LOSE COOLANT WHEN YOU PULL OUT THE SENSOR. BY DRAINING THE COOLANT YOU LET AIR IN THE SYSTEM. IF YOU DO NOT DRAIN THE SYSTEM YOU LOSE ONLY A SMALL AMOUNT IF YOU QUICKLY INSERT THE NEW SENSOR AFTER PULLING THE OLD ONE. CHEERS!
I tested the spark plugs under cranking, out of the cylinder and I used a new plug with the 4 in their cylinders. Spark is there during cranking. A DannerScanner video on the electrical system indicates the ECM.
I have a 1995 Chevy Corsica 2.2L engine. Recently began hard starting and now wont start. But has strong spark at all 4 plugs. When I spray fuel into throttle body nothing happens! Could it be the ECM? Where is ECM located? Or the ICM? Or any idea? I don’t hear a fuel pump when I turn ign’ key on. Should I? I haven’t tested fuel pump yet. And where is the schraeder valve on fuel injection line? thanks
Thank you. May I request something else on the L-series? Timing chain tensioner. Ive recently replaced my timing chain, sprockets, oiler, tensioner, etc. But I still have a startup rattle every now and then. My guess is its the tensioner, Did I buy a bad one or did I just install it incorrectly?
Shame that L300 was in a junk yrad.. Engine compartment looked pretty good.. You have been slamming the videos lately. Keep up the great work..Take Care

I used a spray bottle and misted fuel into the throttle body. With no results. anks for your time

What did you test the spark with.

You must know the owner of the yard because most would see the camera and ask what the hell are you doing there…

There was just enough miles to put it in the junk yard whatever they were.
They put a nice steel gasket at the base of the sensor so you should be all set.
You bet, after all these years saying Saturn S i had to really watch it.
Pretty cool that you’re finding yard cars to do videos on!
I bet you were dying to mess up and say Saturn S-series at the end 😀
But yeah, good to know even the L’s (and the ecotechs in general) all had bad ECTSes..
Don’t forget the telfon tape on the new sensor and wrap it on clockwise so it doesn’t unravel as you tighten it.
how many miles re on that l300
that looks rusty it looks liek ti in junk yard lol
finally 2.20 ectoech 😀 my motor
Wait till January & February that is when i slow down and people email and say rich you alright haven’t heard from you in awhile.
