Hey froggy my brute push mower starts up great but when I mow the yard the
engine starts lowering its speed and runs rough and putters (no smoke @
all) like its going to die. But when I lift up the front of the mower it
runs like new. Then when it goes down on the grass or pavement it starts
running rough again. I’ve only had it a year. As of March 11 ’14.
I suppose no one here has heard of Mobil 1 Extended Performance
+froggy I have a oil question 4 u. r truck uses 0w-20 dexos oil. & r old
truck used 5w-20 oil.
Yes and especially if it has GM “approval” on the label. Also I have used
Redline full syn oil also, very good as is Amsoil. 🙂

Hey its Nate :)! Did u also reset the oil life monitor? I use penzoil
10w-30 in the cub cadet riding mower & n my brute push mower I use penzoil
HD30.

Good info on oil, I had forgot about Penzoil since the 90’s
On my 1996 C4 it was a breeze, Gas cap in the middle of the back & had an
access plate with about 8 screws, you could just reach in (empty tank) and
change it. Mid 2003 GM changed to the FFS fuel system. The filter(s) are
integrated to the pump(s) and the tanks(s) must be removed to get to them.
If you have good fuel pressure and no “symptoms” a filter service is not
needed or recommended. It is a VERY BIG job. Mine is 2004 so I hope I never
have to do this one.
I think Pennzoil is made by Shell.

I believe they changed the fuel filter around 99 or 00.. mine is a 98 and I
changed it, but it was a pain to get the little clips back on
Yes, me too. It appears to have very high specs & widely available. The
ULTRA blend is original fill on Ferrari (in USA). 🙂
Yep, I did not film it, but I put a notation at the end key on, press gas 5
times. 🙂
