Making The GM 5.7L TBI BETTER!
Here’s How To Make The Chevy / GMC TBI Injection System Better!
Chevy/GMC TBI Rebuild And New Injectors!

In this video I rebuild my 1995 GMC Suburban TBI (Throttle Body Injection) system with all brand new ACDelco parts including brand new ACDelco injectors. I show the injector spray pattern before and after the rebuild as well as first drive and first impressions!

My engine is the 5.7L with TBI but GM made other engines with TBI including the 4.3L v6 and 5.0L v8 all available at the time with TBI or throttle-body injection.

Tyler Experience says:

I believe that dash is swapped….the tachometer has the diesel tach the normal one usually goes to 6K. Did you do a dash swap

Vitiated's HOW TO says:

Who actually went & bought this from Amazon I’ve read so many bad reviews on the injectors & the rebuild kit

Thaldronez Tactical says:

The Irish "DannyBoy" says:

Bud,thanx for the video.. but you're over complicating it.. So I'm not saying you did anything wrong, you didn't,infact you're pretty thorough, but I use my exacto knife in those hard areas to remove gasket, and some Brakleen helps too.. those bolts are same length on the ejector retainer.. but mines a Chevy 1500 4.3,so maybe slight differences, although I don't think so.. 4.3 6 is 3/4 of an 8,and usually 5.0,5.7 have same bolting patterns

Oh,and if you want some better hp gain install a Throttle Body Spacer and you'll pick up off the line between 800rpm-3500rpm range.. to me it was worth me doing,my Throttle response is much better
Also those high dams around the the TBI areas where the injectors spray, most grind them flat to get the air flow into them without restrictions and a much better air/fuel combo mix

Donnie Hazelwood says:

You don't have to take the body off. The pod comes off separately.

multimargejta123 says:

Those monopoint injection throttle bodies look very restrictive and problematic

Joseph White says:

I have a 91 Chevy 4.3 L. Got off a friend, probably sat for a bit. When it’s cold it runs fine, however once warmed up it backfires through the throttlebody When accelerating at XRPM underload. Only does it in drive does, not do it in park. Has a new throttle position sensor or whatever it is it screws into the side of the throttlebody, has a new EGR valve, and a new air filter. I have not fully tuned it up yet. I also removed the catalytic converter and put on a new muffler.

Mike Hibner says:

Great video and I have come to the conclusion that a TBI is much simpler and easier to deal with than a carb…

Guardian M/X says:

I would say that you have wayyyyy more facial animations when you talk now. Watching your previous is good, your current videos are hard to watch because of your face moving so much when you talk. I do like your content though. Keep up the good work.

Jeremy Walker says:

I see a lot of people talking about replacing bad injectors do you realize how expensive these injectors are to replace ACDelco replacement $254 a piece of course you'll need two of them.Thats the reason everyone changes to carburetor this outdated garbage is ridiculous.

Rayzer says:

Absolutely perfect, just what I was looking for. Greatly appreciate the superb high quality camera work and all the details you put into this video! Seems like a lot of people want to use a potato camera and shoot the video in near dark with some form of bad music and/or an air compressor running in the background. Anyway, this helps tons! Thank you!

David Homen says:

I'm getting ready to rebuild mine in my 92 silverado with 214 thousand miles on it. I've replaced everything that I thought it was that was making it run rough on cold starts and almost die at stop lights. I hope it takes care of it.
Thank you for posting all the information you do! It's extremely helpful and informative.

Larry Billups says:

I need to rebuild my carburetor. This video showed me everything I need to know. Very helpful. My confidence is very high on getting it done.

Cole Knight says:

Wondering why my 95 half ton ran awful for the next 20 miles after rebuild. Got map codes, low voltage codes on the tps got Iac valve codes And a couple others. It ran down the road ok. Mainly idle issues and pedal smashing issues. Couldn’t fix it at the moment so it saw about 30 miles and 3 warm up cycles before I could touch it. All the problems slowly went away. Never took a look at it cause it’s great now. Wish all my pickups problems were like that. I have a couple thoughts as to why it resolved itself but wanted to get someone else thoughts on it
