I have an 01 silverado with a 4.8l, and I’m in california, is there a 50
state legal application for my truck, and if so what is the part number so
I don’t order the wrong one. Really hoping there is one so I can combo with
the throttle body spacer 🙂
@chiwaz12 : Yes, This video can be used for all 1999-2007 “Classic” GM
Trucks & SUV when installing the MXP Series intake system.
Have you guys at airriad dynoed this setup on the chevy 5.3 for the trucks
in this vid?
@deafprun90210 : YES, We include Stickers / Decals in all of our AIRAID
Intake Systems.
@deafprun90210 : Thank you for the positive feedback. I am glad to hear
your pleased with the AIRAID!
We actually have three different 50-state-legal applications for your
vehicle! If you visit our website, you can find out the details on each,
and you’ll see the EO numbers as well.
@Accordionmonster1 : Email Airaidinfo@Airaid.com and they can fix you up
with a CARB sticker.
i want to install an air-raid kit on my 06 Silverado 5.3 but do I need to
upgrade the mass air flow sensor to an aftermarket as I heard it helps?-
@bigwheezy312 I agree ‘off’ is never that easy, but this was really easy to
install. It is honestly bolt-on.
Please visit our website for more information about our TrailBlazer kit.
@bigwheezy312 : The AIRAID products fits amazingly well and is an easy
bolt-on installation.
@chiwaz12 : Yes, This video can be used for all 1999-2007 “Classic” GM
Trucks & SUV when installing the MXP Series intake system.
We have numbers on a 2008 truck with a 5.3L engine, and our kit was good
for 19 hp and 17 lb-ft of torque.
amazing..my shit never comes on or off that easy 😛
I really dont want to blame your intake, but rvrr since I installed my MXP
on my 2003 silverado, the reliability just went out the window, the truck
cant idle properly anymore, not anywhere as smooth as it used to be and its
died on me many times while idling wjth the steering wheel turned
I have a 2000 NBS silverado 2500 with the 6.0. I am looking into adding a
cold air intake and tbs from you guys. Is this system 50 state legal? If so
you have your selves a sale.
Yes that is correct. The New body style Silverado debuted in 1999, and the
New body style Tahoe / Suburban debuted in 2000. You have the older body
style with the 350 Vortec engine.
We actually have three different intake kits for your vehicle that are
50-state legal! Just go to our website and fill in your vehicle information
on our product search, and you can get all the information on each of them.
Anything on our website that has n E.O. number is 50-state legal. Thanks!
No, there is no need to upgrade or replace the mass air sensor unless the
one on the truck is causing issues now. All of our systems are designed to
bolt on and go with no tuning or other extra steps needed.
which system is this. I would love to get one for my trailblazer
It definitely sounds like there was either a problem with the installation
or you are experiencing some other issue. Start by double-checking the
installation to be sure there aren’t any loose fittings or connections. Or
feel free to give our tech line a call at 800-498-6951 and they can walk
you through more specific things to check. If the check engine light is on,
it would be helpful to know what codes are present as well. Regardless,
we’ll be happy to help you find the solution.
