2005 GM Cluster problems

How to repair DIY the no communication issue seen in 2005 06 & 07 GM full size clusters. Fuel, Volt, Temp and Oil not responding? This could be why.
The 56585 BUS transceiver chip requires 12v supply.

I got two of these in last week. One never opened and the other looked like he went after it with a Weller pistol grip and a roll of acid core!
Oddly the hack one had a beautiful bright VFD.
Good with the bad, I guess!

I am trying to contact you directly but I cannot. Is there a way I can get ahold of you personally to ask a few questions about my 05 yukon cluster that has lost all data. Thanks

When you say it’s dim, you’re talking about in daylight use, correct? I can’t see mine when the sun is up, but it’s fine in the dark.

Hmm a micro crack in the power track, i suppose it's to be expected with the vibration from the truck.
Or just a piss poor quality pcb.
I'm supprised that the flourescent display lasts that long in a truck.
They all go dim in equipment and other devices, i think the emission from the heater just drops off over the years.
They do look nicer than led displays, the old digital clocks had them.
Sorry woffle mode is turned on 😀
