I have mitsubishi eclipse and what is going on that when im going 60-75 mph
my car starts to shake… But it only shakes when im accelerating on that
speed, if i dont press the gas pedal it stops shaking. Is it mean that i
have a bad cv axle? I know that the engine is ok cause it doesnt shake when
i rev it up

Gabriel Plata says:

Everytime i turn right my car makes a ticking noise is it the cv boot or
the whole axle? Please help

MuslimAmericanSoldier says:

Thank you for the info

Michael Schueler says:

What does it mean if the noise comes whether i’m turning right, left or
going straight? i don’t need to turn my wheel to hear a noise.

Kahuna Cazares says:

Great video :)

Joe Schmitter says:

Great video man. Thank you! I kid you not, I was just wondering yesterday,
what CV stood for.
Question for you; what’s your thought’s /experiences with the quick boots
(split boots) for replacement. I replaced the shaft a year ago, and the
outer boot is already cracked open and grease everywhere. The shaft is
fine, just the boot is shot. Cheap eBay drive shaft.

MaineGreenBud says:

Thanks for the video man!

Bradley Gillap says:

I found a bad CV in my car tonight while doing some bearings. This video
confirmed and explained exactly what I needed to hear. Thanks. I just wish
it was a cheaper part. hah

Don Woo says:

No more than 4hrs ago I asked myself, “what does ‘CV’ stand for? I always
thought the letters ‘CV’ stood for ‘Coughing Velma’..because of a
joint..(CV joint). Anyways, good video…glad I watched it –

Question: What’s your take on buying used parts (nothing electrical) off a
wrecked car for roughly 20% of what it cost everywhere else?

Adam B says:

Great video! Thanx 🙂 a lot of good information

GREAT VIDEO ON THE CV JOINTS FOR TOYOTA
I WAS ABLE TO GET BOTH SIDES DONE AND ALL GREASE CLEANED-Up for $600.00
with a lifetime warranty parts and labor on Both sides

Kash Ghori says:

great video. I stumbled upon it because of a clicking noise that’s coming
from the front (FWD) when I turn left. the noise is coming from the right.
This sounds exactly like the issue described in the video, but all CV boots
are intact and no signs of grease leak anywhere. The boots have never been
replaced. It’s a 2005 Acura TL. There is some leakage around the Rack and
Pinion though. Any ideas what other things I can check that would make a
clicking noise when turning left and ONLY Left. The weird part is that the
noise goes away after driving for 10 minutes. To reproduce the car has to
sit in the cold for a few hours.

Austin Smith says:

This Video was incredible man. It literally had everything you needed to
know. Learned a lot

Grt explaination

Mark Paulino says:

Time to check my CV. when I’m turning right it creates an annoying knocking
sound.thanks a lot!

Timothy Dixon says:

BTW drag is for air resistance, CV’s have less ROLLING resistance. and if
you want a much easier way to test them, lock the wheels left and
accelerate. repeat for the right…. but if we tell people the easy way
then they can’t be overcharged at the mechanics right??

Ethan Johnson says:

You mentioned when turning that power transfers to the side with the weight
how ever all stock differentials on any application put power to the dude
with the least resistance. And I’ve also heard then called trans axels
other then that watching this made Mr a lil more confident with what I’m
doing. Thanks

GW Combs says:

We have a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer (4WD). There is no popping or clicking
when turning but a sound that compares to that of a truck with mud tires on
the highway, a loud “whine”. When slowing to a stop there is a slight side
to side wobble that you can feel. Any ideas on what the problem is, or
where to start?

Thanks in advance,
GC

Martin Philips says:

Your video had great information Brian, I’ve watched quite a few of your
videos and they are all a great help. I hope you don’t take offense with my
next comment, though. You mentioned countries where we dropped the atomic
bomb. We dropped two Abombs, One on Hiroshima and one on Nagasaki, both of
which are part of japan. We helped rebuild Germany, Japan and other
countries affected by the war. We’ve never dropped another A bomb on anyone
besides Japan. If I’ve offended you, I apologize..

Excellent presentation. Explanation short, sharp & straight to the point.
Easy to understood theory & practical. Double thumbs up & a big thank you
to you for your very useful info & tips. I liked your way of tutorial, slow
& calm. You are Professor Genius Sir David Einstein of modern mechanical
engineers. (:-)
