TS 6 Position Chip OBS Powerstroke Install: 95-97 Ford 7.3L

TS 6 Position Chip OBS Powerstroke Install: 95-97 Ford 7.3L

The TS Performance Six Position Chip offers more power at the rear wheels than any other chip or downloader on the market. You can adjust between the 6 settings while driving by simply turning a knob mounted on the dash. No need to pull over and download a different setting while the competition passes you by.

NOTE: On the OBS style Fords the PCM is located as shown in the video. A 1997 F-250 has the PCM located BEHIND the emergency brake (you cannot see it inside the cab without removing the entire emergency brake pedal). You have to slide the PCM out through the front of the firewall in the engine compartment. You have to also remove the fender well screws and pry the fender well down to get the PCM out.

Watch us install a TS 6 position chip on an OBS Ford Powerstroke 7.3L. This is how to do the original body style install

Dave Adams says:

Great video and agree about chatty people on the comments. Going to install TS today. Thanks so much for the help!!

nathan koroush says:

Mine won't start or run in the stock position just check engine light, high idle work and the other settings will run, just not the stock.

SamofCR says:

Should I re-coat the connector with new dielectric grease?

crackpotfox says:

I won’t dispute that the battery needs to be disconnected. However, is it really necessary to disconnect both sides of the battery? I usually just disconnect both ground cables.

DevaJones03 says:

something has turned in here LOL

Travis Dittman says:

Ok so I'm having an issue that took me two months and 1000$ to figure out that my ts performance chip backed out. Any ideas on how to keep the chip from vibrating loose

Scotty Siebert says:

Disconnect the cables!

Demonlord468 says:

Cant tell you how many people ive argued with over the years about the importance of disconnecting the Battery when not only working on any electrical stuff but, even more importantly when doing any Welding on a Vehicle. I've never seen it happen myself (Because I've always disconnected the battery for Welding) but, ive heard many stories of batteries exploding from welding on a vehicle with the battery still connected as well as burning up Computers and Fuse Boxes and all sorts of problems. But, people are hard headed and think if they did it once with the battery still connected then such advice doesn't apply anymore. You can do something wrong a bunch of times and nothing happen but, it only takes once of something going wrong to really screw something up major.

Unknown Sender says:

Haven’t watched this video yet, but I love the fact you straight up give your phone number for all the keyboard trolls out there! I also believe if anyone is not smart enough to disconnect the batteries, they can come on over and rewire this CJ that burned up from someone that wanted to adjust their alternator. I never leave comments but I had to give this guy a thumbs up, on the call out!

Tony Billow says:

How many horse power does it make for the truck, great video, thanks.

Devin Borer says:

Video was a huge help. My bolt for the wires to the pcm was stripped and still did it without unclipping wires. Great video

MirrorrorriM says:

What a legend ! Mine was already installed on the truck I bought i just wanted to know where it plugged into haha. Great video

BD Junks says:

My ts6 chip I can’t feel a difference between the tunes but my high idle works but 140 and 50 there’s no difference

David Stokes says:

does anyone do a video installing a chip in a 7.3 E-250 heavy duty

beepers wisdom says:

I have a mp-8 on a 1997 international 4700 with 7.3 it was on there when I got the truck I don't know what any of the setting are or if it works was told to turn it all the way don't touch it the guy I got it from words any help I'd be grateful

drowsn96 racing says:

Hell yes i like this feller lol call me thats write

K. W. Hawkins says:

I know this video is several years old now but what is your opinion on the TS-6 vs hydra on the OBS. I have a 96 with 85k on the clock. All stock set up, nothing changed. Don't need much but would like a little more towing power. Great video and just became a subscriber.

Konrad Caudill says:

Just ordered one today Do you recommend getting a cold air intake as well or does stock intake get enough air?

Nicholas Cabatic says:

Hello sir I absolutely love this product and your installation video. I put this chip on about two years ago and to make a long story short without knowing a lot about my 1997 2w Dr. F350 diesel 7.3 Powerstroke a local Aamco repair shop told me that the chip blow my PCM. I DIDNT believe them but I ended up purchasing a knew PCM anyway. Turns out those idiots at Aamco didn’t realize it was my speed sensor all along that was causing my Trucks erratic shifting behavior and and Towing light on my shifter flashing ,I put the chip in again yesterday and once again I absolutely love it, so just for reassurance for future use can this sensor blow my PCM ?I’m just asking this question for peace of mind.

Charlie Cox says:

I found it's a little bit easier to pull it from the inside all you have to do is take the park brake assembly off

Eli Burrows says:

I heard you could do the install from the inside, didnt know if this is true or not
