for the longest time I had my 67 Galaxie running off a milk jug under the hood because the fuel tank was beyond saving. When i finally installed the new fuel tank, I got lazy and used a fuel filter to link the line from the engine to the line to the tank. I had forgotten to thread the line though the clip so when i tightened the hose clamps, I dropped the loose line into the engine bay,the metal filter knocking and breaking off the clip in the process.
An old timer mechanic taught me this decades ago and its worked great for me ever since. Now you dont have to worry about broken clips either!
Wouldn’t an adel give you a more secure hold?

I found out on my 77 custom that the hole has to be really tight and you set the pin with a punch and little hammer
You're ordering it's OEM appearance so you might as well. Just use an Adele clamp then you don't have to worry about the petrified plastic anymore.
There is no x in “Especially”
Are you using a 1/4 self tapping bolt ?
If you are I have plenty of them !
Great Tip !
