thethePete says:

They respond really well to a blower, FWIW.

thethePete says:

Ugh. These things are turds. The closest thing to a redeeming value about them is that they get 6mpg. Always. Empty, full, loaded, driving like gramma or driving like Dale; 6mpg.

Josh McCommon says:

In all honesty my biggest issue with any Ford product is that they have lost their vision that Henry had which was to give the people a vehicle they could afford and maintain on their own. Today Fords are priced along with the most expensive vehicles on the market and you can't do anything without special tools or two lifts if you have a truck since the cab has to be lifted to do almost anything more than an oil change. Don't believe me? look up the cost to replace the turbo cooling line seal on any of the piles with the 3.5l paperweight. 16 hours to replace a $15.00 seal is absurd and criminal in my opinion.

Justin Mccarter says:

What gin coyote engine was at again in the bronco, 500 horse naturally aspirated I'm going to know what I can duplicate that for my station wagon and 96 bronco swaps

GM_JODY says:

Im a red seal tech in rural b.c. these engines are in most of the logging trucks we work on, and they are incredibly reliable. Very very few with major problems. Most of which live on logging roads, and have thousands of idle hours. One has 475,000 km and close to 12-15000 idle hours. Still going stong, and never been apart.

Henry Carlson says:

Interesting , Thank You . Happy Fixing

Stoic Steel says:

Exhaust manifold leaks and cracks are common as well.

Desert Fresh says:

I towed a 7×14 cargo trailer with an additional 6" in height from Texas to Michigan with a 6.2L. The trailer was loaded to the gills and I was pretty impressed with the grunt. And gasoline was a lot cheaper than diesel, then, too. Sure, a diesel would've been better but the gasser did a great job.

Thomas says:

Somebody likes them some Timmy’s.
