Power Seat Repair -2004 Ford Escape – DIY simple fix

Power Seat Repair -2004 Ford Escape – DIY simple fix

I put some seat covers on my 2004 Ford Escape. Great idea.

I didn’t take the seats out to do it. Bad idea.

The straps that go through the underside of the seat are difficult to fish through the narrow spaces – ESPECIALLY if you have power seats (like I do). Those power seats make it a bit difficult to know what is vitally important that shouldn’t have pressure put on it – and what is not.

What wound up happening is that the straps for my seat covers disconnected something important – and I had to take out my seats to figure it out.

So, here’s how I discovered what was wrong with my power seats when one of the straps disconnected the thingie (whatever it is called). Enjoy
