Hi great video. Quick question I have an 08 mustang gt automatic. My issue is when I start the car from a cold start it makes a whining noise in park. When put into drive the noise tends to not be as loud. Then after the temperature goes up or ive been driving the car for a while the noise completely goes away. No hards shifts. Just that whining noise in cold starts in park. What do you think it might be and is it something to be concerned about? Please any help thanks
So I notice when you take off the T shifter, it has that black block covering up the shifter. In someone else’s video, when they took off the T shifter, it was just a stick. (Yes it was automatic as well just like the one in this video) now I just wanna know, why is that? The reason I ask is cause I bought a hulk fist shift knob and I want to put it in my 07 mustang, but when I saw this video it gave me discourage when I found out that black block was surrounding the stick, so that would mean I wouldn’t be able to put on my aftermarket shift knob. When I say “black block around the stick” I mean that black thing around the handle. If that makes sense? I hope I didn’t lose you here, lol.
I thought i was going crazy, thank you for making this video.
Very good video. Thank you.
Is it the same for 2000 auto?
IS THIS THE SAME PROBLEM I FEEL MY O5 not going in gear cause it won’t connect all the only in reverse drive or 3rd gear o can drive in one or two but in drive it revs won’t move same for reverse could you give me the info on what you think it can be Sir Please I brought a transmission solenoid but gave no one to put it on yet

Erick I’m having the same problem as you with the popped button now can’t get key out same problem. What can I do
I did this over a year ago. It worked for a short period of time, but it shifted and tore.
Hello what would I need to do if the shifter does not stay in park gear I already tried removing the plastic cover ?
Perfect, thank you!
i'm getting a shifter from Dorman lol
I have this problem wear my shifter doesnt click on every shift for example from 1st to 2nd
Unfortunately in the state of Virginia, the gear indicator (red dot that slides with shifter) must work to pass inspection. I fixed mine with Gorilla tape. I couldn't see spending a couple of hundred for a whole new shifter assembly when I could fix it with a few inches if tape.
My stick won’t let me shift gears what’s wrong the button won’t click and the key won’t come out
I have a 2005 ford mustang V6, I'm at the part where you "gently pull the overdrive plug from u underneath"… yours is white… however I dont see this?? Help!
I’m having trouble putting the T handle back on. I messed with the little stick you mentioned not to rotate too much and it popped out. Now I cant get it to lock back in place. I managed to put the handle back in but now the button won’t lock whenever I move the gears around thus not being able to extract my keys. Any suggestions on what I can do aside from removing the entire assembly?
