The procedure for the 3.0 is much harder than this. Should have used the 3.0L for the example

Melinda Hall says:

I sure appreciate your videos. I don’t work on vehicles, but am trying to help my elderly father save some money. I was able to replace the thermostat from watching your video on Thermostat replacement, but I am still not getting heat in the truck. My brother says it is the water pump because there is no water in the hose. Should I replace the water pump next? Hope someone can help me in the next few hours if you have time to respond. Thanks so much!

Manuel Rivas says:

Thanks for sharing your knowledge, very similar if not the same on my 98 4.0 ranger. Do you recommend using a gasket sealant along with the water pump gasket? Thank you.

Faux Painter says:

Jr Blake says:

Thanks for this video. I was encouraged to do this job myself but my fan was mis-threaded on by whomever replaced the pump before. It took me 4 hours to get it off, and 6 hours to do the whole job. So I was expecting to be done in 19 minutes. Hopefully not everyone has 4 misthreaded bolts.

Dominick Bono says:

good but he doesn't show taking the old pump off and accessing the bolts. that's the difficult part which was edited out
