I had to replace the tank on the I am working on. The tank is the same as the old except it has a plastic black tray in the tank causing my pump to be 2 inches to tall. The tank takes the same pump according to Ford. My question is what can I do now to get it back together.
I do not know if this help anybody but I rusted a tank strap on my Ford F250 l.d. , I went and bought another strap which called it to be 31.5 " , when I went to installed it , it was too short, thankfully the parts man kept on looking for an alternative which was 34.75" and it fit.I have the part number it is Dorman 578-132 , it fits a F250 4×4 . I forgot it is a 30.5 gallon tank.
I changed my fuel pump and can't get my truck to stsrt, any suggestions to what I might need to do to get it running?
