Y’all should do more videos on the 4v s197s, the torque specs yall supply are hard to find and they can be different from the 3 valve to 4 valve models
I ordered two struts. Does it matter which goes in which side?
Question does the top strut bolt have a cam lobe for alignment . I noticed all the bolts for the same ???
What kind of torque wrench is the one that you use for the big bolts on the strut ?
Do they need to be aligned after? Would I be able to pull it off without a lift and just jacking it?
What size is that bolt for the break hose mounting bracket? Mine is missing
Great Video! I used it to replace my struts yesterday. Thanks!
Thank you, may God the Father bless and keep you
mustang models 05 to 2014 use the same type of strut?
Excellent, excellent video for the DIY mechanic. All the information, clearly illustrated and explained in straight forward language. Thank you! I’ll be using every bit of this!!
I recently replaced my struts on my 05 mustang and after that it started making a clunking noise when turning at low speeds. What could that possibly be?
I have a mustang 2005 V6 base model just like its pictured here and NO it was not a simple unscrew and pop er off type job anyone can do. The video depicts a simple unscrew and pop off for the strut however my experience was the upward pressure of sway bar prevents you from taking off the link to start with the strut job. I would say whats missing in this video is you need a Large C clamp or pry bar to apply pressure downward on sway bar to remove link and proceed to next steps. Anyone out there with a different experience on what my experience was please enlighten me .Utube videos that make things like a magic wand …its a snap….nope not for me. Good luck.
Thank you for the torq info
Easy peasy woo
I thought you’re not supposed to use a Torque Wrench as a ratcheting wrench?
Did he leave 1A Auto?
one of the most important info in this video is the torque pounds ., but in the mustang 2010 gt is the same ?
Looks like you guys used the original strut bolts and nuts. Am I correct as I've read that it's recommended to use new ones.
now are these the same height as the original struts that came on the car from factory along with the same stiffness?
What's that angled vise grip? Where can I get one?
