On any screw that goes into a nut captured in plastic, it is a good idea to grease/antisieze the threads when installing the screw. This will prevent future problems with removing the screw.
I don’t know about many other people’s Focuses, but on mine the air box bolts do not come off. They just spin since they are completely attached (rust) to the round nut that’s on the bottom. In this scenario you need to remove the air box and then try to hold the round nuts with pliers, or just cut them out entirely and replace bolts/nuts.

My oil change mechanic told me it would cost $700 in labor to replace my air filter because of where it was located(and because I’m a girl lol). So I looked it up and found this video. Thanks for saving me seven hundred bucks! You’re the man!
