Hi Guys, Learn how to service your Honda, watch service videos here “Lokesh Jain” or just click on my name link here..

I saw that. Haven’t bothered with it yet.

Thanks a lot man, keep making this videos, it will sure help me with my Focus Ecoboost 😉

Cool, same ST3 here. Ford recently has a recall (for most 2013 ST3) on our HID lights about the Amber side-markers not lighting up. I was contemplating to pull a DIY on this one instead of bringing it in.

SVTRonDogg says:

Performance Blue ST3. Need to get some videos on here of it.

moomoo97 says:

Right, there’re some more stuff we can move out of the way to gain more space. The Ford’s ‘official’ procedures even asked for moving the BCM module for full access to this cabin filter. I’m just trying to provide the least intrusive way to get this done here.

moomoo97 says:

Thanks, glad it helps! Which ST do you have? 🙂

SVTRonDogg says:

Very helpful video, made it easy to change the filter in my ST today. Thanks!

Thanks. This is probably the most helpful “how to” video I’ve seen. I watched this and was able to replace my cabin air filter in about 10 min. from start to finish. I also loosened the hex holding the vent to the right of the filter cover. This vent can be pushed up and out of the way to gain a little extra space. Great video!

Thanks for the video. Hope to change mine soon.

Thanks, glad my steps helped! A dirty cabin filter will just decrease the air flow to make your AC less efficient (takes much longer to cool), but there’s always cold air as long as your AC system is in good shape. Now you’ve found the ceiling (~37k miles) for the filter change, you can go as high as 20k next time before changing the filter again.

Kirk Miller says:

Thank you so much for video. Really helped. I actually didn’t even know I had a cabin filter until I got new air filter today and asked them if car had cabin filter since I couldn’t find one. My car had nearly 37,000 miles on it. Air filter not too bad, but wow, cabin filter was nearly black. Surprised AC even worked.

moomoo97 says:

Cool, glad the video guide helped!

Great video. Thank you. Just did mine and was very easy after watching this video.

Will be installing mines in today. Great vid, thank you.

moomoo97 says:

LOL thanks. I also use a mini-tripod to set the camera in place sometimes, but mostly I just handheld the camera. That’s why I usually mention in my video “This step should be easy with both hands, but I’m the one holding the camera….”

Raptorman0909 says:

Excellent video, very helpful. I don’t know how you managed to keep the camera mostly on target and in focus while doing this in such a tight space. Big props…

Motorcraft FP-70 Cabin Filter, it’s available at dealer or online retailers like amazon.

George Cristea says:

who makes the cabin filter? the air filter in made by ‘knecht’

Alan Yee says:

moo what car did you drive before havinbg a new mk3 focus ST?

moomoo97 says:

LOL…because they want you to bring it to the dealer for service. However; I do give Ford Focus Engineers credits for providing us a BIGGER glove box for storage, by moving the cabin filter out of the conventional location which is behind the glove box in most cars these days.

banihex says:

lol, wtf, why is this so complicated?? My manual didn’t say ANYTHING about this! Thanks for this video!! I would have never figured it out!

Alan Yee says:

copy moo. thanks.. thats what I did too to my AC.. Have a nice day =)

moomoo97 says:

Dark color is good, which means the filter is doing its job filtering dirt out and not going to your lung. 🙂
It’s not abnormal the AC smells after awhile because the AC Condenser will have some molds/mildews due to moisture. No way to avoid this but a good-practice is to shut-off the AC and leave the FAN ON for 3 to 5mins before you shut off the car or before you reach your destination. The air may help to dry the condenser. However; this won’t work if you’re living in a high-humidity area.
