Thanks so much for your video. The only thing I would add is that you should at minimum use some emery cloth or roloc and remove the glaze from the rotors if your not going to have them turned. This non directional surface allows the new pads to develop their own wear pattern instead of wearing on the old pattern, thus extending the life of the pads.
Thanks again for sharing!!

Are all years the same? I have a 05 xlt 4 wheel drive. And need a change badly. Rotors needs resurfacing. Please help

Thanks. Just did the brakes on my 2000. Your video was a big help. The only suggestion I have is to mention the torque values of the various nuts.

thanks~

I just did this job on my 2006 Mountaineer. It is virtually identical. Thanks for the great video Croom9.

Hey croom. Nice video. I watched and it was a great refresher/training aid. Would you tell me why you didn’t have the rotor turned (lathed)? I also wondered how I could tighten my emergency brake. If you have the time, would you tell me please? Thanks.

Good show! Hint, if you put a big screwdriver between the inside pad and the piston, you can compress the piston while the caliper is still on saving you from having to use a c clamp.
