How to Replace Door Pressure Switch | 1995 Ford F150

In this video, I show you how to replace the door pressure switch that turns on the dome light and other interior accessories. The process is straightforward. Using a 15mm deep socket, unbolt the nut holding the door pressure switch to the A pillar. Pull the switch forward and try to pull out as much of the wiring harness as possible. The put a clamp on the wiring harness to keep it from pulling back through inside the A pillar. remove the switch and insert the new switch. Then bolt the switch back into place. Last step is to close the door which sets the depth of the pressure switch.

I just unscrew the jamb nut, and push them through the cab. I don’t want my dome light coming on, unless I tell it to.
However these are old habits from being in asset recovery.
