This video explains how to replace door locks on Ford Trucks built between the years of 1992 and 1996.
The truck used for this video is a 1995 Ford F-150.
Even though this video is made specific for these trucks, the process is very similar for most American Made Vehicles and watching this video can be helpful regardless of what make or model you drive.

Thanks. I hope this will apply to an 88 I just bought. Strangely, the door and the ignition key don't match and the previous owner said they never had a key made. So I have to buy new locks with keys.
Very helpful video. Thanks

Thank's! The rod on my has been off so i took the door apart and could not figure out how to put the rod back on the lock cylinder.. Watching your video shows me the plastic piece is missing on mind and I did not know it had that… Thank's again
very helpful, thank you!
very helpful, thank you
ahhhhhh thank you!!!!! you saved me a large chunk of money
RETAINING CLIP: My Ford E-150 VAN has similar locks, which I replaced. However, the clips (which look the same) do NOT have a "slot" as in your truck.
The locks are a little loose. How can I tighten them up? Which way would I bend the clips? Make the oval more, or less pronounced? Bend the back park "up"? Something else? Do they go sideways, as yours? That's how they were.
Should I put some type of silicone around the edges?
There were no rubber washers, as in your truck. Note: my Buick Roadmaster has rubber washers.
Thanks!
