I have a 95 ranger. My issue is the clip inside the door won't come out. It is like stuck. Until I get that out I can't get the door locks. Is there a reason it's stuck

Michael Uilenberg says:

Will this work for a 2004 ranger ?

Perry G says:

Unfortunately, this doesn't work for power doors. There is an extra arm on the lock not shown that makes it so you can't pull the lock out of the door

Bought these locks last month. It took about ten minutes to change them on my 98 Ford Ranger. Please take a pair of angular pliers. It will be easier.

wattacroc says:

I have a 1998 Mazda b4000 Pickup. They are exactly the same as a Ford Ranger.
When I need something from the wrecking yard, they also look up the ranger for parts.
I watched this video and within 10 minutes I had my lock working. Just a big piece of dirt.
Thanks

Chicago Slim says:

Is the 98 Explorer the same procedure ?

Max8981 says:

I was able to change both lock cylinders in about 20 minutes. Very simple procedure, I did have one of the sticks fall into the door. To get the stick out, I used a coat hanger, bent the end into a hook, and used that and a flashlight to pull up the stick. Also, if your lock doesn't seem to be working right, try using the other cylinder, as one is meant to be on the left, and the other for the right (it does matter). Thank you 1A Auto for this great video, helped me a ton!

Matthew Weert says:

What if it’s Stuck

RobbHahn says:

Great video. I was able to change my locks both in under 30 minutes.

Anthony E. says:
