Randall Anson says:

Great video, had to watch then I stopped struggling–What else is holding this thing on here? I learned the hard way to tape the nut to the socket to keep it from falling out and dlown to that secret screw and nut hiding place all cars have.

B3_Burner says:

2:13 — Is that side marker you just pulled out supposed to blink when you turn on your turn signal at night? Or is it just a steady, dim marker lamp? Common sense would seem to dictate that this day and age, all cars should have wrap around turn signal lamps, so that people to the side of you can see your signal when you're changing lanes on the freeway… but the Crown may only have the amber bulbs between the headlights and the grille; as the blinking lamps. I don't know… that's why I ask. Thanks.

B3_Burner says:

are the side markers supposed to have amber or white (clear) bulbs in them?

Ricky Davis says:

Looks easy that good lol

Justin LaFleur says:

What size screw is that, need to replace the screw on one side so the Marker light is secured and cant seem to find the screw

whats good performance intake manifold to put on crown Victoria police interceptor

JP Lujan says:

I noticed that my Crown Vic has a second bulb there in the corner light assembly, on the bottom. Is this likely some remnant from the car's days as a police cruiser? In which case, do I need to modify my new assemblies when I replace the cracked ones? (Both sides are cracked at present).

JP Lujan says:

You guys at 1A are truly awesome. I've used your videos as a resource for maintaining my CVPI since I first got it, and I've saved so much money as a result.

FinestCitizen says:

Thanks for the very detailed, instructional video. I was able to replace the signal marker on my Crown Vic.

Just FYI: If you happen to own an older model (1992 – 1997), it's a wee bit different.

First of all, you don't have to lift up the entire panel in order to access the bolts. There's a lid on both sides that you can easily snap off and on. I don't know why the later models (1998 – 2011) were not built that way.

Once you remove said lid on either side, you can see two (2) bolts adjacent to each other. Since my socket wrench with an extender didn't fit, I wound up using a vice script. If need be, use WD-40 in order to loosen the lug nuts, this worked for me.

When you remove the exterior screw using a Phillips-head screwdriver, the old side marker should easily slide out.

Install the new side marker using the above instructions, and you should have no problem. It took me about 30 minutes to replace it on my 1993 Ford Crown Victoria.

Overall, it's essentially what Mike had explained in the video. I'm not a mechanic by any means necessary, so I apologize if I did not get the terminology correctly. It's a pain in the neck replacing the part, but easy enough to figure out.

PhuckHue2 says:

replaced the bulbs on both sides and they still don't blink. the front lights still blink. anybody have a fix? it's a 2000 LX

repodrgn says:

thank you! Both my front side markers were out and this video made it SO much more easier!

I've been to your site, and WOW lots of parts.. thanks again

Jaquita Mcneill says:

Yes! Exactly what I needed because I hit a pole trying to get some gas lol & I broke my assembly

Sergeant4 says:

You should change the title to 98-11 for the years as they are all the same, and the 92-97 are similar. However, it would have been much easier to take the few extra seconds to remove the headlamp assembly so you have more room.

filthy sanchez says:

this is exactly what i was looking for- mine burnt out.
