Only an engineer would design something that needs to be replaced yearly in such a poor location. Why couldn't it have been a few inches closer toward the rear of the car? Replacing this should be as easy as changing a CD in the radio!

Christopher Patrick says:

Thanks for this, my cabin filter hadn't been changed since I drove it off the lot in 2011.

Do you happen to know what the popping sound is whenever I adjust AC settings?

Mikehunt hunt says:

I was almost upset at how easy this was supposed to be. Luckily I remember that the engineers at ford had my back and made it super inconvenient

Vincent Smith says:

Really glad I found this video. I pooped out the glovebox first, think the filter would be located there lol. Imagine my surprise! Glad it's done, but wow, that is not what I expected…

Thanks. I just replaced my filter in 2019 Fiesta. I didn’t have the torx wrench so I used a torx socket with a 1/4 inch wrench to turn the shank for the upper screw closest to the seat and I used a torx bit in a 1/4 in deep well socket on a 1/4 in rachet on the upper most screw that was hardest to reach. The deepwell socket was like an extension and there was plenty of space to turn the rachet .

Shawn Coffin says:

Great video! It helped me tackle my 2018 Fiesta, thanks!!

El Mecanico says:

Ford is following footsteps of Nissan. A pain to change something so simple. It's designed like that on purpose

Steven Valdivia says:

In all the years working on every model car, this was by far the worst one I've ever done. It even tops nissans poor design.

emsea says:

Most obnoxious replacement steps on any car Ive had

Spoker says:

In mk 8 there is no this blue el. Conector.

ejBMW says:

Great video – can't believe how overly complex the removal of the filter cover is.
