thanks ChrisFix, whew!  that was helpful!  my truck just STOPPED running, luckily I was close enough to COAST home.  figured it was the fuel filter.  after some difficulty and checking your video got a new filter in and it's running fine now.  only cost me nineteen bucks for the filter.  happy.

Βαιος Καλιακουδας says:

You mean every 5yrs for non-daily-driven ones because those cars have low kms of usage written on their odometer and the filter is not as much damaged as a daily-driven one

WPGinterceptor says:

you don't need the tool.. use a flathead screwdrive and push IN on the tabs!!!

TGOTR says:

What about if the fuel filter is rusted to the line and is blocking all gas from getting the engine?

Most Excellent!

Sully Cop says:

Great video.  I changed the fuel filter on my 99 Ranger yesterday. The only problem I had was that the auto parts store gave me the wrong filter. When I thought I had it installed correctly and tried to start the truck, I had gas pouring out all over my driveway.  Several attempts  later  I notice that the filter line was slightly smaller that the old one that  I had removed. Once I got the correct filter it literally took less than a minute to install.  thanks for the video. Keep making these videos.

Andrew Lund says:

does a 2004 Mazda 3 have a fuel filter that's accessible?

Dalton Lyons says:

Hey Chris, I love all your videos! I rewatched this one today and changed out the filter on my truck, it had 150,000+ on the same filter, and it was really dirty. It was a bit of a process doing it for the first time, but it's done! For anybody doing theirs, and they have a quick connect fitting, just keep trying if it doesn't work! Also a little penetrating oil…
