How to Replace a 2011-2014 Ford F150 Side View Mirror, DIY

Where to buy: http://bit.ly/2012F150

We’ll walk you through how to remove the original broken Ford F-150 side view mirror and install a brand new F150 mirror replacement. This customer didn’t want to buy the original mirror on his Ford F150 truck with the corner spotter mirror and chose to purchase one without the spotter mirror to save some money. In this case, the power and turn signal functionality still works! (This isn’t always the case with other Makes and Models.)

Fairly simple and straight forward job. Removing a side view mirror sounds harder than it really is. The tools you will need are the standard flat head and phillips screwdriver. Of course, you cannot forget your trusty socket wrench. There are four 8mm bolts that hold the door panel on. Two on the bottom, one behind the door handle and one in the arm rest of the door. Once you remove the nuts, snap the door panel off and remove three size 11mm nuts. Once you disconnect the electrical wire, is all smooth sailing. Repeat above steps in reverse and be sure to check the functionality of the mirror. Thanks for watching!

I have a question. I have a 2012 Ford F-150 XLT. My question is, can I replace my side mirror with ones with the turn signal in them, if my current ones don’t have the turn signal lights. Mine are powered, I’m just wondering if that’s possible or not. Thanks
