1A Auto Parts says:

The knob could be to hold the net in place, we do not carry them, you may
be able to find one in your local salvage yard. We do carry replacement
tail lights for your cars; if you need one for the 06 Taurus passengerside,
it’s Part Number: 1ALTL01257 on our website 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

MonstersNightmare says:

Hmm,.. this one looks simple enough. Hope to God it doesn’t turn out an all
day experience like the alternator! lol.

Kevin Nickel says:

Thanks, had to come to YouTube U to learn how to change the tail light.
Good Job on the vid.

memphistigerfan1 says:

i just changed the bulb in my 04 ford taurus and the light is still not
working, what is wrong here?

BigBend2012 says:

well ehow.com wasn’t helpful. this was…so i am guessing the black plastic
piece that sits against the wall of the carpet is twist off too? that could
explain why the damn thing would’t come out. i accidently chipped a part of
the plastic on the lamp… will that cause problems or should it be okay?

1A Auto Parts says:

The bulb should have a part number right on it so that you can replace it.

Don Nunes says:

Thank you for all you guys do producing these videos….saved me a lot of

Taylor Davey says:

@1aauto I recently bought a new tail light for my 2003 Taurus, but it
didn’t come with the cord thingy that was seen in your video’s initial tail
light…?

jasminesinbloom says:

This video made my simple DIY project a success! Thank You for being an
excellent source for quality replacement parts and education.

1A Auto Parts says:

You may want to test the socket with a test light to see if there’s power
to the socket. If there’s no power to both headlights then you may want to
check the fuse first and if it’s good check the power to the switch.

Ed Woodward says:

Thanks for the video

1A Auto Parts says:

@lavfoood Thank you for checking out our auto repair channel. Have a great
day!

1A Auto Parts says:

The wire harness is in your car. This video will show you how to remove the
bulbs from your old taillight and how to use your factory harness on the
new light.

1A Auto Parts says:

@geowarrior2008 Thank you geowarrior2008 , glad we could help out.

memphistigerfan1 says:

there is power to the socket because the passenger side brake light and the
top brake light are both working

1A Auto Parts says:

Thank you for visiting our auto repair channel on YouTube.

Mich Fingerstyle says:

thanks for the video. looks simple once we see what you do

SimClauJivi says:

Thanks so much for producing this video! After going nowhere on my own I
was finally able to replace the burnt taillight in my 2005 Taurus.
Everything was just like in the video.

1A Auto Parts says:

Sometimes the tail light can get stuck to the body of the vehicle. You may
have to tap the studs poking through the trunk to get the light to break
free from the body.

Tony DeRomanis says:

You know what? Thank you very much. 🙂

Jackie Colflesh says:

Thanks!! Your videos are very informative and loud enough I can hear and
understand!

raymen97 says:

This is a great video. Saved me about an hour of head scratching!

Rene Nadeau says:

looks simple enough… but i’m unable to pull the assembly out, like you
did it appears to be some how wedged in there…any suggestions?…the one
i have in there now is cracked…i have a replacement ready to snap in but
….lol btw my taurus is a 2007

1A Auto Parts says:

That particular socket could be bad, also check the wires to the socket to
see if any ar broken or frayed.

Boris Karloff says:

You Da Man!!

1A Auto Parts says:

@BigBend2012 It should be okay as long as the lens is still sealed.

geowarrior2008 says:

A little different for my ’98 Taurus but the video helped. Mike does a
super job with these videos. Very simple, straightforward, easy to follow.
The parts they sell are as good as OEM…better…because they’re cheaper,
and I learn more by installing myself. I highly recommend 1AAuto for all
your DIY projects. Thanks!!!
