Hi I have a question. I have a 2001 ford explorer sport 2 DR, and I would
like to know how do you replace the side marker light, does the fender, and
bumper cover, have to come off ? thanks

YOUNG HARLEM says:

does this work for 2002 ford explorer xlt

ranrunr1 says:

Thanks for the great video !!! I will change my burned out bulb right now.

100hooker says:

Thank you!! I did this on my wifes 2003 Explorer only difference was the
screw was a hex head.I would have never figured the tabs out just by
looking at it. It actually took me longer to find the right socket for the
screw. Thank you guys for this and all of your other videos! LOTS OF GOOD
KARMA COMMIN’ YOUR WAY!!!!!!

1A Auto Parts says:

@RikuSpirit The bulbs should either twist or pull out of their sockets.

qnez12 says:

Thank you so much it went just like you showed, great site

igottahaveit2 says:

Great tutorial.

1A Auto Parts says:

There should be a part number on the bulbs that you take out.

MrNote2note says:

Thanks for the Video ! I had no idea it was that simple. My 2005 Explorer
did not even need to remove the screw. I just pulled up the tabs and did
it. Thanks again .

John F. Esparros says:

That was a very helpful video. I didn’t realize that the tabs could be
lifted up with pliers. Thanks for posting it.

1A Auto Parts says:

We currently do not have an auto repair video that shows you how to do
this. There Should be 3-4 bolts on the sides of the headlights that hold
them in place. If you remove those they should come out for you. We offer
the replacement headlights on our website for your truck. Here’s a link to
them.

RikuSpirit says:

thanks for this video! I was able to replace the headlight today =D
Although i kept trying to pull the actual bulb from the socket, turns out
the bulb and socket have to be replaced together, when you pick up the new
one it’ll include them both. Unfortunately the dome light for the
driver/front passenger is also out, any chance you could show us how to
replace the front dome light please? 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac Thanks!

Thanks a lot you save me a lot

1A Auto Parts says:

@MrWalleye Thank you for checking out our auto repair videos.

1A Auto Parts says:

@RikuSpirit On most vehicles you can usually squeeze the ends together on
the light lens and it usually pops off to get at the bulb, or there may be
a screw that holds it in place. I don’t have the truck here anymore to take
a look at. It’s usually pretty easy though.

1A Auto Parts says:

replacement video. Have a great day!
