Thank you sir! It was VERY helpful.

I would just like to say thank you for making this video. I went up to auto
tire yesterday for a brake check and they were going to charge me $500 to
fix my front brakes but after watching your video I decided to do it myself
and thank god I did. After I added up the cost it came out to $100. I
cannot say this enough but thank you very much you saved me a lot of money.

1A Auto Parts says:

Usually you will feel the brake pedal pulsate when you get on the brakes.
It’s usually more noticeable at highway speeds when you’re trying to slow
down.

rangerguy17 says:

how can you tell if the rotor is warped without any special tools?

1A Auto Parts says:

It should be fairly close. The basic procedures should be similar.

1A Auto Parts says:

@TheFred1952 Those tend to work very well when trying to collapse the
caliper.

Trad Powell says:

This guys knows his stuff. It was incredibly easy following his steps.

rangerguy17 says:

ok but how do i chose what rotors are best for my truck and will last the
longest

Fred Sitzenstock says:

i use a c clamp to retract the caliper

1A Auto Parts says:

We currently do not have an auto repair video that shows those particular
slide pins that hold the caliper in place. If they are the pins that have
the metal on the outside with the rubber inside, you can put a little
anti-seize on them to help keep the caliper from hanging up. I had an 89
full size Bronco that had that set-up. Hope this helps you out.

Thanks for watching

Hevi Komppi says:

Great kit, great video, ended up replacing calipers too since pistons were
jammed.

excuseyou100 says:

Hey, I have an 1995 Ford Ranger 4×4 and i wanna replace my rotors and pabs.
is it the same procedure as this or is there a better video to show me how
to do it? Thanks!

willseefish2 says:

fusion311 says:

would this be the same if i had 1996 mazfa b2300?

moparmania74 says:

well this is a friends old beater. we live in western ny state. so cars
around here that are 10 years old are so rusted they have to be scrapped.
so you can imagine how a 93 is. there is hardly anything left to it. frame
is rotted to hell, no floors under the carpets, fenders are gone… i have
no idea what is even holding the thing together. but its the only thing
they have to drive and cant afford another car right now. so im trying to
keep it on the road for them.

midgety1 says:

awesome video thanks so much for all your videos! I have one question
though if you buy new rotors will they come with the races already in them?

1A Auto Parts says:

It should be fairly close. The basic procedures should be similar.

Frankie Arnone says:

if you woulda stood on the other side of the tire when torkn the lug nuts
to 100 ft lbs. you coulda used your foot. and your supposed to use a star
pattern when tightn them. other than that good video.

1A Auto Parts says:

Awesome, I loved that truck. The pins on the brakes were a little bit if a
pain to maintain on it though. You may want to check them every so oftern
to make sure that they didn’t dry out, causing that caliper to stick.

i just had to replace 3 wheel studs on my friends ranger. 93 4×4. i have
never worked on a ford and when i got to taking the front caliper off i was
a bit suprised. i have never seen a brake set up like that. where you have
to pound out two pins instead of just take out bolts… i got everything
done ok but now im not sure where the outside caliper section should line
up. seems you can pound it in or out… seem the brakes are grabbing too
much. not sure what to make of it. ANY HELP?

1A Auto Parts says:

moparmania74 says:

yes that does help. i happened to find a set of instruction with pictures
that also showed how you have to clean and lube those pins and where they
slide into. i wasnt really sure. but now i get it. thanks!

1A Auto Parts says:

It should be fairly similar.

1A Auto Parts says:

The bearings would be separate. If they have a ton of miles on them you may
want to replace them. Also remember to pack them with grease before to put
them in. Usually the older style cone shaped bearings aren’t to expensive.
Hope this helps you out.
