1aauto says:

You could try that or you may need to make some type of bracket to secure it in place.

RockoYourSocksoff says:

The clip that holds the switch cluster flush to the panel broke off and now the cluster moves inward and there is a gap between it and the panel, any way to fix this? Epoxy?

TrailsOfFire1 says:

Great tutorial video! I will be doing some repair work on the DS window and replacing the speakers while I am in there. I was concerned that it would be overly complicated to get these panels off, thanks for showing me otherwise. I’m used to working on my 93 YJ, where everything is pretty straightforward. =D

I’m not so sure maybe i was thrown off by the design of the inside my panel is slightly different…also the window track is hand crank…maybe you just make it look easy haha

xKmotx says:

Thank you for this tutorial. :^)

I have to fix my wife’s 2000 Exploder’s outside mirror and was wondering how that panel was going to come apart.

1aauto says:

The concept for the door panel is going to be exactly the same for power locks and non-power locks. The clips holding the panel on will be in the same spots and the bolts were be in the same location.

kermit368 says:

my door is non electric doesnt come apart the same way

My door wont open from the inside or outside is this method going to work for opening the panel from the inside ?

We currently do not have a video of this particular repair but, they should come apart in a similar way.

Jimmy Slim says:

thank you. it kind of feels like its rubbing on something though. like when i grab the lock and push and pull it up and down its not as smooth as the others.

1aauto says:

It may be hard to do but this video will show you how to remove it, so that you can reach inside of the door and pop it open and fix what may be wrong with it.

1aauto says:

It could be your door lock actuator that’s may be getting tired. We sell new replacement ones on our website 1aauto.com or call 888-844-3393 and our sales staff can help you out.

Jimmy Slim says:

QUESTION: i have a 2000 explorer and my driver side door doesnt seem to unlock all the way when using keyless entry or the key. its obvious that the lock (small black thing) doesnt rise up all the way unless the door is opened from the inside… being the driver side door its really starting to be an inconvenience. it would be awesome if you can help

1aauto says:

If it will not open from the outside or the inside, you may have to remove the door panel and unlock it from inside of the door. One of the rods may have fallen off of the handle or latch. Hope this helps you out.

1aauto says:

You’re welcome. Have a great day.

1aauto your the best. I do handyman work on the side and vehicles are one of the many things that I do. You have made my job much more easier when I’m stuck in a bind. Your expertise and detail instruction videos are the best on the net. Your truly a life saver, because all vehicles are created different and your videos have never let me down. Thank you so much.

1aauto says:

We currently do not carry that particular part. You may want to check the dealer or possibly your local salvage yard for one. Hope this helps you out.

Luis Mariscal says:

I was wondering where you can find replacement door handle covers (the first thing you pry off at the beginning of the video) for a ’99 explorer.

Tyler Hutchens says:

Mine is a 94 the previous generation, but this gives me an idea. Thank you. I needed to remove the panel because my passenger door won’t open from the outside, so I’m assuming it has something to do with the rod
