Jami Phillips says:

Is it normal for the tensioner to move (like flex down and inward) when you
begin turning the wrench?

notnixx says:

Thanks. Always easier to look up first if person is not daily mechanic.

truso says:

@1aauto thanks!

tyler mcbride says:

I just wanted to send a quick message to the makers of this video.. OMG
thank yall very much, it was just the way that i need to fix my truck!
thanks guys keep up the good work and I will for sure be coming back to
1aauto for the help!

momentumwebconsult says:

VERY helpful. Thanks!!!

1A Auto Parts says:

@quiet4no1 Just a silly question, did you try moving it both ways? You may
have been trying the wrong way. If it does not move then it could be frozen
up.

ihhrRocket says:

Hey Mike! You are the best, and the best to you… You saved me time and
money and a lot of hardache on fingers and hands. You are a blessing to
folks like me who thought this was going to be easy when I first bought my
08 hhr. I drive it 10k a month or 400miles per day and seeing your video
makes this possible from any book or manual out there. J.Leon Gonzalez P.S.
i will be ordering my parts from you, from now on. Thanks Brother

trimblerocks says:

Thank you very much for this video, VERY helpful!

Matt McGuire says:

Would this be fairly similar to replacing a belt for a 2003 Mercury
Mountaineer?

Christian Griffin says:

AWESOME VIDEO! – Even I was able to do the job!

TheKing0fHalo says:

@1aauto Any idea where I can purchase the clamp that’s next to the MAF? I
can’t find it anywhere and don’t want to replace the intake to make it
compatible with normal clamps, thanks.

1A Auto Parts says:

@TheKing0fHalo The dealer would probably have one for you. You could also
try a salvage yard.

truso says:

Great videos. WILL save me a whole lot of money. How will I know how tight
I should twist the tensioner after I put the belt on?

1A Auto Parts says:

@quiet4no1 Yeah, it should move with medium force. I’d say your tensioner
is kaput.

Dwayne Hanson says:

Hi I have a 1995 Ford Exployer 4.0L V6 engine and I just wanted to know
what size of serpintine belt is needed for this make of truck…and as well
how much is a idler pulley?

1A Auto Parts says:

@SDUndisputed At the current time we do not have an auto repair video that
shows this particular repair. We’ll keep it in mind, in case we need to do
this in the future.

Scott Greymont says:

thanks you just saved me 100 bucks in labor for a 10 minute job

1A Auto Parts says:

@truso Tensioner does it for you automatically, it is spring loaded.

1A Auto Parts says:

@ihhrRocket It is comments like this that keep me pushing forward. I do
enjoy empowering others and I want your car maintenance to go as smooth as
possible. That is why we do these videos and why we work so hard to provide
quality parts and service. If you are happy we are happy. Mike

1A Auto Parts says:

HI Dwayne, If you would like call the office, we could help you over the
phone we carry these parts with free shipping. There are a few different
options and questions that we would need to quote you a price. Have a great
day! 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

1A Auto Parts says:

We’ll keep this in mind in the event that we need to do this on a vehicle.
If you go to your local parts store, they sell a plastic T that you can put
in-line with your heater hose, and use a garden hose to flush it out. There
should also be directions on the back of the package.

SDUndisputed says:
