That locking ring was the tricky part of this job. I had to re-use the old O-ring as the new one was too hard to compress. Then, I filed the leading edge of each of the engagement points so it would catch properly. POS…thanks FORD.

Luis Guzman says:

Are both fuel pumps supposed to hum? And why only change 1 on the left? The one I'm working on does not have power on the right side pump

Josh M says:

Is this the same process for an 05 mustang?

How do you get the fuel pump to lock

Kenny CashedOut says:

Hello good sir, what is on the right side is that a 2nd fuel pump or just a sending unit monitoring the gas level

Guys E2469M is the unit you should be getting for 05-09 mustang's I bought a E2467M and it was too tall, and didn't lock into place.

Zapped By Life says:

Why do you clean the tank is that a requirement

Where did you connect that pressure gauge? I read that 05-09 Mustangs don’t have a shraeder valve and I didn’t see one on mine either

I have tried for hours to get the metal ring back on but i cant.

Jim Forty says:

I have an 05 where no fuel is getting to the drivers side main pump. I cant find any answers as to if the passengers side has some kind of a pump that transfers fuel from the passengers side to the drivers side main pump. also i know there is a sending unit on the passengers side. does this have anything to do with transferring fuel from the passengers side to the drivers side. anybody have any ideas

Earl's Shadetree Garage says:

How do you remove the crossover line? It’s not budging.

Tron Hardy says:

For those who struggle with sealing the pump and locking ring, try using a gooseneck pry bar to hold the lid down while a friend secures the locking ring.
