I ended up finding a tiny bulb from autozone, unfortunately nothing in stock had long leads like the factory bulb so I snipped off the leads from the old bulb and soldered them to the new bulb. Going on 2 years now with that repair and no issues

I reused the origional bulb holder. Pull the old bulb out and rethread with CEC 7219 .7Watt 12V. Available on amazon $6.99 for a 10 pack. Worked perfect on mine. These bulbs are also carried by hobbie shops.
