This is a video tutorial explaining how to replace the stock radio in a F150 from the years of 2004-2008. The radio used is a double din unit if you are using a single din unit it is the same except for the fit kit will be different. This guide is good for showing replacing a stock unit with an after market unit or an other stock unit you just don’t need to solder anything in that case.

I spliced a usb cord and connected the red wire in the cord to the sub wires and then plugged that into the back USB port so when the unit powers up the usb port sends the 5 volt signal to the amp. Cheap fix..
Does it dim with the dimmer wheel switch?
6.2 or 7 inch
LOL – your AC blend gate makes the same sound mine does. Great video!
Would that housing work for a radio that’s 6.2?
Thank u so much for the video.. how can I fix the pooping sound on my subs when I turn it off?
Were you drying shoes during filming?
Did you lost the steering wheel hand controls?
Do you have to install the microphone? Im not sure if my head unit even comes with one, but it seems kind of complicated and I was wondering if its completely necessary
Very helpful. If you were to have just taped off the end of the parking brake wire and bundled it up out of the way, would that have had a different effect?
how long did it take for you to soder?
Great video very clear on how to! Doing an install on my 04 and wasn’t sure those parts fit my truck just ordered them from amazon….thanks again
Good video. It helped alot. I hope someone was in the house taking care of your baby crying.
Great video! Installing same unit in my 2006 F150 after Christmas, this was a big help! Thanks for sharing.
Does the black line on the wire mean its negative ? Thanks !
