Is this the same method for an 84 351 Windsor motor

videocommenter67 says:

Trade you engines. (just kidding)

Luis Ruvalcaba says:

thank you for this video doing my rear main tomorrow.. where can i pick up
that sleeve and tool to punch it in?

351cleavland says:

Nicely done video. Is this the same procedure with a 351 windsor?

Brandon Allen says:

very educational.. Thumbs up

MuscleCarEngines says:

Glad we were able to help you with that.

Cliff Dukes says:

What is the best way to reduce the positive crankcase pressure in a ford
347 stroker? The stock pcv setup on my 1995 Mustang Gt is not relieving the
pressure.

Benjamin P Parker says:

Awesome video, very helpful step by step with good tips from a pro. I am
getting ready to do the rear main on a Toyota 4runner with 337K miles. I
bought the sleeve ahead of time because I expect I will find a groove in
the crank.

James Gould says:

i cocked mine, you said not to cock it but i still cocked it how do you
uncock it

jeremiah smith says:

i bought the bs40644 which is teflon and it says its is not recomended to
use a repair sleave do you know why?

TankMorph says:

Just ordered my Micro Seal and installation tool. Thanks for the info and
part numbers! When it comes time for a new motor, I’ll make sure to look
you guys up!

evilritual says:

so how much does something like cost to have done

countryOhio says:

Great video!

Luis Ceballos says:

is the BS 40644 seal wich is Teflon just as good as the one with the spring
? Im doing my rear main seal tomorrow and I already have the part, don’t
want it to leak a couple 100 miles later.

MuscleCarEngines says:

It would be best to replace it with a new one. If not the bulge that is
created when it was installed cocked can prematurely wear out the seal.

hardyrowe says:

Excellent video!

MintBiz says:

Excellent video! My seal is leaking 3000 miles after engine rebuild. I want
to make sure I fix it right the first time. Thanks for providing the part
numbers as well.

mtnman14r says:

Great video. Have to subscribe to this channel.

MuscleCarEngines says:

That is because the teflon seal does not have a spring in it and can not
compensate for the additional thickness of the sleeve.

TankMorph says:

Installation went very smoothly thanks to watching your vid. Thanks again!

jeremiah smith says:

thanks. does that mean that it can handle the groove if its there or get
the sleeve and the other seal with the spring if i find a groove

MuscleCarEngines says:

If you are putting a sleeve on the you need the one with a spring. But if
the crank is good and no groove, then the teflon seal will be fine. Always
used a Felpro seal. They are the best gaskets.

granadojl says:

Drill the other valve cover and put a breather on. I have breathers on both
of my covers.
