I don’t remember why, but certain types of mufflers are called “turbo” muffler.

jonnytorch5855 says:

Yeah. It’s alright.

gmtech408 says:

Shouldve eliminated the section between the Turn down and muffler.

perezeperez1 says:

LMAO Autozone special…..TURBO MUFFLER

AGStylZ says:

Yep, these things are called “turbo muffler”s

Liam Said says:

I bought my catalytic converter at cwik.com, they gave me a good deal, free shipping and I found a 5% off coupon (cwik5).

Terrence Francis says:

You kinda sound like that guy from trucks with the spiky red hair. Great video!

HondaMan716 says:

Thanks for the video. I replaced my 98 f150’s exhaust after watching this video. It’s a v8 5.4 liter but it’s basically the same thing.

trent young says:

all this model f150 have the dual cats on them. my supercrew has 4. so does my buddys extended cab, and another buddys flaresude 4×4. we all have exhaust on ours abd they still rumble good. but we also have v8s lol

teamboostedsupra says:

I have a 4.0L V6 with a 2 inch exhaust. Does that mean I need to buy 2 1/4 inch tubing so it will slip over?

GIBSONANDSLASH says:

i have an exhaust system from a 1970 buick gs and i was wondering if it would be able to fit onto my acura tl. would you happen to know if it would work and does anyone know if they sound ricey if you put other exhausts on it? thanks

stjbrother says:

that sounds terrible get a real exhaust….straight pipes

Herschel boller says:

i have a 02 impala 3.4 and i kno my converter is prety much shot,
When i put it in rev, it sputters and sounds like its going to die. installing it in a 02 impala going to be he same as the ford?

Hunter House says:

I thought it sound great without exhaust. Y can’t you just keep it like that

Xellos357 says:

no offense to you guys but when you did this it looked like poor car and quality being used on that vehicle: “i know you’re not supposed to do that [use impact gun] but we’re gonna do it anyway”, “Uh-oh, it just moved. should we redo it? no. okay”, “the exhaust is okay dangling 7 feet across the underside of the vehicle. if he’s backing down a hill with bumps it just might touch the ground and really fuck something up. no biggy”

neat video for instructions but keep it real

gregoreofilling says:

Thanks so much, it’s not that hard to change exhaust if you know what you are doing, and i have to do that on my 86′ Firebird. So thanks so much for the help!

SCHMULBACH22 says:

Tyler Myers says:

Thanks bro’s.:D I just bought a 1974 Amc Javelin Amx, its my first car. I bought it open headers, This helped alot. Btw, I live in michigan too!

Francisco Compean says:

Do yu have to clean the new muffler before the install? Will it pass emissions without the resonator?

slowride55 says:

Usually a 2.5 and then get an exhaust pipe expander.

TheIbanezmaster652 says:

if i where to cut the exhaust, spray high temp paint on where the cut was, put the clamp on and then seal the gap with some sort of exhaust putty or repair putty, would that ensure a rust/leak free fit?

Karnage543 says:

Where’d you get your exhaust from bro? Bro, I got it from autozone!

GameFishermen says:

Welding won’t always guarantee a perfect seal, you need to know at least how to set the machine up weld, and check over the work after it cools down. I do like your how to vid though, I do some auto work, but mainly do welding repairs with MIG steel and TIG aluminum

65fordmustange says:

No autozone wont install

doughboi54 says:

does autozone put these on aswell.. bcuz i dont hav any tools:(

Codey Kennell says:

if you dont evacuate it then it can and most likely lead to rust and you dont want that.

ShootingAugust says:

I agree. I think he meant carbon steel with an aluminized coating.

BDavisOutdoors says:

Sorry bud but aluminum dosent rust.

Alexander Hooton says:

Great Vid. I have a question or two . I did the same thing where i cut off the muffler with a sawza. and i have a turbo muffler for my exhaust. would it be easier to weld a pipe onto the muffler or use clamps? If i did get clamps where did u get urs from and how much?

magnetic0314 says:

Aluminium doesn’t rust.

DrBlobber1 says:

lol 0:17 *THUMP*

camarocomputer says:

charb? lame!

49nic94 says:

averageman67 says:

@TheOneMetallica1 dont pay that their literally 2-3$ at advanced auto parts or napa

averageman67 says:

@nickfranzitta238 it can u the turndown in the video will make it echo off of the ground or you can get tips that are really long and usually alot bigger than the exhaust pipe their called echo tips they can give it a deeper sound at low rpms and idle
