thank you for the help
When I add more fluid to get old fluid out do I need to turn steering wheel
stop to stop. Your videos are awesome. I think ur bearing video is best in
u tube
Great video. Keep making them, they’re very good and helpful. Thanks!
Pretty thorough job Chris. As always, some nice tips. Thnx
that looks easey but messey ill have to try that on my 97 explorer thanks
Good video. To bleed the system though, you would have to turn the steering
wheel to it’s maximum both left and right with the engine on (best with the
car jacked up) This will push any air out. Do that a couple of times, and
remember to check the fluid levels in between ofcourse.
how much power steering fluid do I need to completely flush the system?
What is the most I would need? I have a 4.0L Jeep btw if that helps.
All the stuff you do I need to do to my car lol
I do like your video’s even a novice could follow your advice. Thank you
for your effort! Great Vid.
Hi ChrisFix, I have a question about my car steering wheel has some noise
after I flush the steering pump by using” Sea Foam Trans Tune” and fill
back in power steering fluid after that when I turn the steering wheel left
and right to lock position it starts to have noisy. Can you tell me why?
please reply to this email address: kevind78@ymail.com. Thx very much!!
i like this
Amazing videos, very through and straight to the point , subbed :))
how many litres do you normally use for a complete flush ?
I can’t wait to try this on my 181,000 mile Chevy 1500 truck. Thanks,
Chris!!
I am anxious to see a Fuel Filter R&R (Remove, Replace), and ceased E-Brake
R&R.
G’day Chris thank you for the vid it was a great help, and you explained it
very we’ll. It was good that it’s a 4wd Thanks mate have subscribed John
Kinnane Tasmania Australia
very helpful thank you
Okay thanks I’ll try that, thanks again for the videos Chris!
About how much ATF did you need? I’m thinking of doing this to my ranger
soon.
Looks like your oil pan gasket is popping out from the pan in the front.
Just like mine is on my 3.0 ranger. Any quick fixes for that? Great videos
BTW.
Thanks Great video. Lots of info. : )
Excellent video. I was already planning on doing this to my own car, but I
didn’t know how to start. Does this work for most/all cars? Thanks!
YES! I wish everybody did videos like you. you are good man you know how
to shoot a good HowTo Vid
Love your videos. Great details!
Hey Chris I flushed my power steering on my 98 ranger and it still makes
the loud noise when turning
To easy. Thanks again for the steady cam and excellent description. I found
my memorial day weekend job. My 2000 Ranger 2.5l SOHC does have dirty fluid
and a noisy pump. Ill let you know the result once I change it out.
man.. on the previosu video you made a noise test with/without adding some
new fluid. Why you didn’t performed the test after full flush??? i am
curious if noise is fully gone.
Smashing video, as allways 🙂
I know its not the same subject but i used to have a small moped and it
used the same atf for the autoclutch, it had to be atf otherwise the clutch
would just disintegrate.
I assume its atf for the rubber seals/rings, good you made sure people know
to use the correct stuff 🙂 and the additive helped a little as well :-).
good job, going to do my ranger. I did use a syringe once to get everything
out of the pump but it didnt stay clean for very long. I have used transx
in the past to quiet the steering and it did a great job.
Also just adding fluid to reservior how does it push old fluid at return
line without turning steering wheel.
nice vid lads but here,s a tip before you start changing your power
steering fluid or trans mission fluid go to the local store and get a
couple of big cardboard boxes zip them open and place under the car ,i know
this because im a bloke and have just spent an hour jet washing my driveway
!
How can you turn the steering wheel with the vehicle off?
Both my vehicles have locking steering columns.
