Ay Todd says:

The reason you would replace the horn first is because you are bypassing
all wiring and fuse by connecting to direct 12v. In my opinion he is giving
the instructions in the proper order.
The horn should work with the 12v from battery.

Gel B says:

This does not tell how to fix a horn that have problem behind the airbag,
in the steering column. The turn signal switch have a pin that touches a
brass ring in the steering column. That broken ring has to be replaced.
That is the place my car horn is broken. You (whoever you) tell me how to
fix it. Do not tell me the fucking easy fixes. My car is 2004 Grand Am Se 1

i just got my car back after having some transmission work done on it and i
noticed my car horn is nowhere near as loud as it was. Now it sounds like a
little beep instead of a loud honk. Is there a way to adjust it or do I
need to replace it?

TopGearrules says:

Finally enough my horn on my Mini just broke the other day, thanks
Howcast!!!

TheColombiandude says:

step 3 should be step one, because you know, you replace your horn, which
means buying a new one, then you later find out the something was
obstructing it, and then you kill yourself because you bought a horn for
nothing.

Bilawal ilyas says:

you forget about 2 more things first spring loaded brass pin that makes
contact with the back of the steering wheel that may being too worn down to
make contact and some cars are equipped with airbags those cars have clock
spring instead of brass pin second is a horn relay if relay stop working
then you cant use your car horn but first of all check the fuse most of the
time fuse is the main problem

Ben Dover says:

There’s your problem, its a Chevy.

loumidis15 says:

dude you need a new car, not a new horn..

TMNWG says:

Ok, here’s how: you don’t. Car horns are fucking annoying and should be
banned. Problem solved. 🙂

Albert Renshaw says:

Don’t you think you should have checked the debree on the steering wheel
first, then the fuse, then cleaning the horn, then the mechanic? You got
everything out of order 🙁

omarrocks100 says:

theoriginaldkny says:

BAD ADVICE…. I am surprised in parts needed they did not list “New Car”

Swiftsaber0 says:

why would you continue to troubleshoot a problem with the horn if you
purchased a new one?

Khipz Dom Awa says:

i also experienced that thing but i just repaired it by myself step1-i
checked the horn but there’s no problem step2-i checked the steering wheel
and i opened it and there i found the problem the wirings were disconnected
and i just plug it again and there…SUCCESS The Horn still sounds good it
sounds BING! BING!

ExiliousX says:

Why would you not check the fuses first? What a dumb video.

venman360 says:

My 99 Chevy blazer horn sounds weak when I honk it the left turn signal
flashes,This is driving me nuts have to have my friend who is a mechanic
check it out.Hope it just may be a fuse etc.

Veronica M says:

Pretty sure he means.. why wouldn’t you check the simplest issue before
going out and buying a new horn? What happens if you buy the horn.. and it
still doesn’t work? Could just be a fuse.

rb26dett32 says:

Why is it backwards?

grodenbarg says:

horn broken, WATCH FOR FINGER ! LOL

chester bautista says:

nobody care if your’re first idiot

batteryman54 says:

So…how do you get a different sound as a horn?

86colon says:

do not follow the steps as he explained, wouldn’t you check your steering
wheel from debris? and wouldn’t you check the fuse after? yeah exactly
don’t follow it how he said it, most of the steps were correct, although in
the wrong order that’s all

tdnkii says:
