Hey guys, just to answer a few questions in the comments: This was a junkyard seat used for a demonstration video firstly showing a full repair for the bottom part of the seat and then a blend repair on the top part of the seat as a comparison to show and explain both these processes. As mentioned, this is a repair of leather itself, not a replacement or reupholstering of leather, and how long it will last will depend on many factors including how well the repair was undertaken, how bad the damage is to start with, how well the seat is maintained and how it is used, so it could be a matter of months or years to a lifetime depending on those factors. I’m not affiliated with any leather repair system, I don’t sell these products or profit from their sale, it was a pure and simple demonstration video that I hope many of you enjoy! Lastly, if the leather is perforated, it is possible to use this process but you will have to use a thin sharp tool to recreate the perforations at the end.

EL EVO says:

Great stuff, would like to see how you fix big tears and splits. Do you have a video like that?

Bear Ashby says:

Can you ever get on with it everything you start with people know so stop it get on with the repair

Barbara Rodriguez says:

this looks great if you have the time money and equipment.

Jeb Stuart says:

The first thing you need to do is take a sledgehammer and beat all the farts out of it

TinaMo says:

You are truly and artistic perfectionist with a lot of patience. Great job, I'll go ahead and get my seat reupholstered.

Mark Scarborough says:

I came here to get ideas for my light grey Volvo C70 front seats….. to find you are repairing light grey Volvo C70 front seats!
The thumbnail only showed a close up of leather and no mention of the car model of these seats.
I'm slightly freaked out by this coincidence.

Charliedontsurf says:

I gave you a thumbs down on this because you're not being specific. Clean the seats using this exactly. Sand off any loose debris using this exactly. Prepsy using this exactly. Use this paint exactly. Be specific and you will get a better result for your video. Should we use 99% alcohol to clean our seats? Will 99% alcohol dry and fade the seat? We don't know because you weren't precise. If you see this and your feelings aren't hurt please make another video using seats from a Lexus. The Lexus seats have little pin holes in them for the air flow from the fan underneath the seat. How can you do this with the Lexus seats without gumming up the holes? Thank you.

muffy2379 says:

to much talking in the intro

Wendy says:

Just wondering what it looks like today.

Y D says:

It is jus ta decorative repair. After you sit in it leather like this, it will rip in places where were deep wrinkles. Only one good solution – get new upholstry or new sit.

J Rawlins says:

Hy. Loves Belarusian people of you.

Rick Kardol says:

I know this is the way.. though, I'm not sure how I can guarantee that if I sit on a hot day, that I won't have paint on my pants..

ONE EYE GAMER says:

I been in repair and I always made patches to use on the leather but in this case it looks like durahyde which I always hated

Vic Viper says:

Replace them or buy a new car. That’s how.

dihydrotestosterone says:
