I have a 2012 Expedition with notorious 5.4 3-valve with 130,000 miles on it.Its time for the coils to be replaced and the plugs so I get that done but I will keep an eye on the timing and cam phasers as I approach 150,000 miles but so far it runs good and I do all the routine maintenance so only time will tell.
My dad has a brain new ranger, it's been recalled for drive train. Also the expensive touch screen doesn't work sometimes, this is completely brand new vehicle do should be nothing wrong with it, I wouldn't buy one even if I could afford it, just such low quality

Scotty said the car with high miles and automatic, doesn't worth to get the engine rebuild. If it is manual, go for it. And be happy with a good transmission.
As the owner of both a 2018 Explorer and a 2021 Edge I can attest that Ford builds junk. When you pay assemblers $18.00 an hour this is what you get. I’m a Union guy and my next vehicle more than likely will be a Toyota.
