i mean if these were v6's with technology 10 even 5 years ago I would be upset but manufactures are really making good power using turbos or hybrid setups, I see ecoboosts pulling 8k trailers fairly easily

I had a Tundra with a V8 and loved it!! Would not own the V6!!
1993 T100 had a 4 cyl engine also. It was a real dog.
Why did they make the 2022 so low to the ground? The beltline is significantly lower than the 2021 and older models.
Why don't they just use a supercharger on a small V8 ? Turbos never last long.
95% of people who buy trucks buy for mere looks and not utility…they wont know the difference.
V8 only for me .
When Ford first started pushing the twin turbo V6 I wasn't interested even though the hp and torque numbers were better with the V6. I stuck with the Coyote V8 and boy am I happy.
If your considering doing serious towing, your already probably skipping the 1/2 ton market regardless to be fair and going for a 3/4 ton F-250 or equivalent truck. Plus 3/4 ton truck's are just set up better for towing right from the factory with the proper electrical connections and heavier hitch built on board.
1/2 ton Truck's are for the occasional tow for home owners. But a 3/4 Ton is ment for more commercial use.
