Thanks much ! I would not think blue would cause a problem those screws
must be really lousy. I think I will just touch the screw head for about a
minute with a soldering iron. Really not excited about the open flame since
I am doing it on the engine and not part of a total rebuild or anything.

Curious if you need to clear the memory/codes after this like in your
Throttle body replacement vid to clear DTC p2016/ p2035? Thx
Silly question – does this technique work with Lincoln Navigators?
2000 Ford Lightning F150 5.4 Any special tricks on installing new TPS
Sensor?
Yup I remember when I broke that screw many moons ago…got lucky I had
enough meat to use a vise grip lol….
Great technique for Ford’s loctite addiction problem!
Good tip with the torch. When the trucks came down the assembly line at GM
during the 70’s and 80’s it was nuts and bolts with lock washers of some
sort till they started to have all the bolts delivered with dried on thread
locker pre installed. It’s rare today to find a lock washer on anything.
Can you clean the throttle body without damaging it? I have a 2006 4.0L
Explorer and the service manual says cleaning it will remove a protective
coating. It sticks when it’s cold.
