dude i wish i had see this weeks ago,. great vid Thanks
hi, great video, same procedur Ford kuga 2012 2.0tdci 163hp powershift?
Amazingly clear video! thank you, this is definitely going to help me tomorrow when I change the oil.
Where exactly is the screwdriver positioned on the oil filter?
Only just watched this video as i am thinking of changing the gearbox oil on my wifes Ford C-Max. I have just had a look underneath the car to see whats what and the only thing i have a problem with is getting to the drain bung on the side of the gearbox. Very tricky as you say but i am not confident i can get anything on it securely enough to undo it not knowing how tight it is.
DEBRI DESTROYS TRANS
They fail due to under lubrication, clutch & carbon laden oil wearing out the bearings and jamming solenoids.
They need oil change every 20,000 kms as there is no full particle filter but just a screen.
They need a full flush and inline filter added.
Filters are too small and not fine enough, it needs an Engine Oil filter with greater capacity.
Same applies to Jatco and most other FWD or AWD trans etc….
Is the procedure same for 6DCT 451? Thanks!
How many miles had that car got on it to have sludge in the filter like that. Is there an internal filter? If you owned a car with this gearbox, how often would you be changing the oil? Great video btw.
Thanks it was very helpful

I followed you step by step, thank you so much.
So last week – I had my Powershift oil changed. It has been 6 years since the last time it was changed. Only on 59,000 miles mind. Shifts are noticeably smoother with the new oil. 100 miles since the change I have twice had the dreaded ‘transmission fault, limited function’ message. Both times lost different gears, 2nd and 6th, then the next time 1st and 5th. I realised that the oil I gave my mechanic was only 6 litres. Not 7. After turning the car on and off it clears the fault and drives fine, no noise or oddity with shifts. Can I just top it up the last litre myself ? Or is it likely dead
I just have a question: While changing the gears for 20 seconds, you keep your foot on the break pedal ? Like keeping your foot on the clutch and changing gears? Thank you and happy holidays!
Cuántos litros?
