i bought these 2013 mustang headlight on ebay cheap, without factory bulbs
and ballasts, there are 7 pins used to activate the headlights, there is 1
grnd,2pins for ter maket xenon for these headlightro mag dr for hi beam,
the last 3 pins for ballasts, wish they made after mark 4 these, many guys
want the oem 2013 xenon headlights, theyare useless if u don’t have the
plugs, ford does not sell these as pigtail.its frustrating i wish someone
would make a cheap aft market xenon light package.

What program did you use to edit this video? It is really a good job.

Can you tell me what order the wires are in for the wire harness connector
to the stock headlight connector? I had to specify what bulb size I needed
and they included the black plastic peice in his left hand at 6:12
unconnected. I know white is high, brown is ground, and blue is low, but
what wires in the stock connector do they correspond to? The stock wire
colors are green/white, black, and yellow/white on the passenger side.
Thanks

wow i made a typo dam computer changes my sentences, what i said was there
are 7 pins on these headlights out of the 16 pins which are used, 1 pin 4
the grnd,2 pins 4 the L.E.D.S over parkinglight.1 pin for an electro
magnetic door which is used for the high beams thatswhy u get that str8
line with the factory xenon, then when u switch on highbeams the dr opens
and allows the xenon to shine full strength , then there re the last 3 pins
for the ballasts, if this helps anyone with 2013 oem lights

Thanks! I am trying to find a decent place to mount my ballast and
controller. You just simply zip tie them, wish you could show me a better,
cleaner look to mounting them. Otherwise, a great installation video!

I have auto headlights and i want to know if this will mess up the hid kit
i have the same mustang

manlaw83 says:

the 2013 factory mustang ballast and bulbs are very exspen, the factory
ballasts fits on the side of headlight which has a rubber gasket which
seals the headlight from moisture, plus if u don’t have the rear bulb cover
which is grey in color u need to find a rubber seal to cover the bulbs or u
will get moisture in headlight assem. , just wanted to pass this info along
to anyone like me who bought these headlights which are incomplete but u
still need that fac plug in harness, its impos 2 find

rynsuis says:

Your lights do not fit! Over three hundred dollars and the threads on the
lights don’t match. I’ll be calling on Monday to get my money back since
they don’t have any one to pick up the phone on weekends. The whole point
of spending the money was so I would have a product that fit my car, and
they totally dropped the ball.

In my home, lame ass state of virginia they are sir.. thanks…

These xenons were a terrific upgrade to my 2011 Mustang, and I’m very happy
with them so far! Your instructional video is excellent AND essential. I
couldn’t have performed the installation with the included instructions
which are outdated and pretty much useless. My only concern is that the
replacement lamps don’t fit the light socket as tightly as the stock units
and I worry that they could shake loose over time.

for anyone who wants to install 2013 oem lights in a 2010 to 2012 mustang
with halogen system, its really very difficult if you don’t have the plug
for the rear of oem headlights. ford does not sell these plugs as pigtails,
you have to buy the whole underhood harness which costs $500, i hope this
helps anyone who wants to install these oem headlights unless someone can
make an aftermarket ystem for these headlights. which be cool,

Can you alternate between Low and High Beams?

zbrewha863 says:

Xenonsupply calls it the CANbus ballasts, which is the normal
(professional) way to do it.

I have a 2007 mustang gt and i am planning on doing a HID conversion. After
the conversion did your car’s computer give you an error saying “Check low
beam”? Thanks

BWade40 says:

You haven’t the faintest idea what you’re talking about.

manlaw83 says:

i wish I could find a harness that I can retro fit a set of 2013 xenon
headlights to fit these after market xenon headlights, the 2013 headlight
assemblies have a 16 pin plug on the rear, ford does not sell these as a
pigtail. if they did it be easy to maybe maybe fit them, the side of the
headlight has a hole for the factory ballast, it has a rubber gasket which
seal them to the headlight, other wise moisture will get inside the
headlight, ,

Patrick Donovan says:

@MrSimsima24 i don’t know how this website does it but at hidnation they
offer a product called a canceler cable. which basically tells the car that
there is no problem with your lights. because they are not stock halogens
the car computer doesn’t recognize them. this cable eliminated that. i just
installed mine on my 2011 mustang and they look great and i dont get that
alert.
