Thank you! I’m not 100% sure these are the same clips on my lines – I think it has the type you squeeze to release but since they were missing when I bought the truck I don’t know for sure.

The 800-003 is $4 for a 5 pack at Autozone, I’ll pick them up and see if they work.

Thanks again.

You can get them at the dealer if local stores don’t carry them.

If you want to go aftermarket you can get them from Dorman. Many auto parts stores carry Dorman stuff.

800-003 is for Ford 5/16″ fuel line and 800-004 is for 3/8″ lines.

You can also search fuel line retainer clip that should yield more search results.

Nicely done video.
I have a 2003 Ford Ranger 3.0 XL, I’m not sure if it has the same type of clips but mine are all missing. Who ever changed it before I owned it used zip ties to hold the lines on the filter. I changed it and used ties too but would like to get some of those clips. New filter didn’t come with those clips, who sells them, I looked at NAPA and Rockauto but can’t find them.

very informative dude.

Bushougoma says:

This was a 96 Aerostar I believe the Aero and Ranger have many similarities including the 3.0 Vulcan V6.

Check if there’s a round groove in one side of the rounded connector if there is that’s a spring lock coupling. It’s commonly called a quick connect fitting.

You will need to buy a plastic quick connect tool at the auto parts store to expand the garter spring to pull the connector apart.

Installation is easy you just push the connector together till it clicks.

Can you provide more details on what year, make & model this was done on? Mine is a 94 Ranger and it looks more silver and rounded connectors.

Nice explanation. I hate plastic clips, but you did a good job explaining how they work.
