I am currently working on Mu brother in laws ( 07focuszx3) 07 focus putting
new lowering springs and Eibach shocks and struts on it. I know what a pain
and the ass Focus is. You might need to lift the car , or put some armor to
protect that weak point on the car.
pretty simple, though: this is made to force you go to expensive car
service where they have those lifters and they work from under the
car…the engineer does what he is paid to…so if he’s asked to design
something in a specific way he wil do that…besides, the companies that
work in car emergencies would just get bancrupt if all cars could be
repaired by the regular Joe.
@99GPSE Ah yes. Kinda like the designed to fail parts they use now. A
timing belt instead of a chain. A computer tied into the ignition,
transmission, brakes and fuel delivery system. All the redundant
electronics. Ya know… they used to design cars to last. Now they’re
designed to fall apart. All in the name of money. No integrity at all
anymore.
