on two occasions I had the same problem with my 99 mondeo. it was the same
problem that connector under the seat when I unplugged it I could see it
was covered with condensation around the holes where the two connectors
join I just wiped it with my finger connected it back and it was fine.

Thankyou for the vid mine was the crash sensor near the bonnet catch, mine
flashed 4 then 2, new sensor now sorted for £25.
