In this video I go through the “easy” process of replacing a battery in a 2014 Ford Escape with the big 2.0. It’s really not that bad of a job, a little time consuming and the battery monitor in the BCM needs to be reset but over all not to bad.

Old Datsun battery replacement. First, remove old battery. Second, Put ear plugs in. Third, put new battery in. Fourth, wire new batterHONKHONKHONKHONK! (car alarm always goes nuts when the battery is connected.)
2019 Altima battery replacement. Have 4 10mm sockets handy and a magnetic long reach to retrieve 3 of them after putting the new battery in… That car is a harsh mistress on batteries.
I will put an engine in an old car before I buy a new model year.

Outstanding, the engineers have found another gouging for the consumer on a simple battery change . Throw in replacing spark plugs as well you just used up half a months pay
I own same 2017 model. I wondered how the heck to get to the battery. It's good so far, knock on wood. Fingers crossed!
