Ford builds garbage. The only thing that sucks more than the dealerships is the actual product. NO ONE in their right mind would by ANY Ford product.
One can only imagine what Ford would be if it were not for the competition from imports.
Its because these are made in the bastion of Quality Mexico LOL!
They need to improve quality of more than manufacturing.
I've encountered many parts mislabeled (misnumbered ?) in their parts catalog. Resulting in dealer ordering the wrong part.
And dealer's mechanics suck.
This past weekend. I had the driver side airbag recall done on my '08 Ranger.
And the dealer mechanic screwed up putting back both the lower dash panel and airbag assembly in the truck. They were both severely misaligned.
The dash panel was so bad; there was a finger width gap between panels.
The airbag assembly was so bad. I could fit a finger under one side of the cover, and the other side was completely flush with steering wheel.
Meaning the horn no longer worked.
I had to fix both items myself.
“Built Tough…on the wallet and blood pressure”
Not a single engineer is choosing to use lowest bidder parts, that crap is driven by the finance and purchasing departments.
CCP CHINA PARTS, CCP CHINA CRAP QUALITY !!! Like we all didn't already know this to be true !!! When will ( ALL ) U.S.A company executives smarten up, and see their off shore cost cutting measures, are costing them market share !!! CRAP IN, CRAP OUT… Just an observation

i bought my last ford in 2013 when i purchased a c-max. like most of these models, it dropped its transmission at 100,000 miles. after junking it i started buying toyotas. now what ford says has no effect on me permanently.
