Jose Soto says:

I’m having a problem with my 2015 is this for my truck also

Ferdinand T says:

Does this part (the molded lead frame) from ford dealership comes with the foam strip?
The parts in Amazon is not available. i think i will need to replace mine. all the symptons are exactly the same as describes in below comments

John Wormer says:

Excellent detailed video! I experienced several transmission errors on my 2011 f150 (38k miles), including the dreaded shift to 1st gear at 30MPH. I took the truck to my local Ford dealer service department and they confirmed it was eligible for the Recall replacement of the Lead frame. However, they have had the truck almost 2 months and have told me they can’t get the lead frame part. Is this happening everywhere?

mineagin says:

Hi everyone. I had a 2012 f150 ecoboost that does not engage any gear after I did this fix. Can anyone give me there opinion? Much thanks

Unstable Dennis says:

Has anyone used the dorman brand and know the part number? Seems like this lead frame is sold out everywhere

Bruce Hoard says:

Great video! But..unless I missed it, you didn't mention that Ford has extended the warranty coverage on the lead plate to 10 years from your vehicle build date. My 2012 mustang had issues 8 months ago, transmission shop told me the part was backordered or unavailable. Problem went away till recently, called dealer for parts n found out about warranty and I missed the coverage by 3 weeks. Dealer states trans!mission must be re-programmed, is this true?

jack choke says:

I’m looking for a little expert advice I have the 2011 F150 with the 6R80 transmission I’m wondering if it is possible to replace the transmission with an 09 f150 6R80 transmission will it work ?

dayon mckenzie says:

Can a 6R75 transmission work in my 09 f150 which as a 6R80?

Big Al says:

Brian, thanks again for the info regarding 6R80 harsh shifts. I got my f150 back today with the new trans control assembly which included the valve body, solenoids and molded leadframe. My transmission is smooth as silk now and it no longer downshifts harshly.

Sgt MadMike says:

Hi thanks for this video it is very informative My 2017 is in the shop right now for hard shifting , I too am a mechanic of (small Engines And marine) , So I have done some work on vehicles and I am always very untrusting of my local dealers work. I have a question how long should this job take in total ? It has been in the shop for 1 week now and I am told after replacing a pump under warranty. They found a rear transmission leak and transfer case leak and are waiting for parts. What I am asking would it take them this long to do the repairs? I thought a couple of days would have been enough I have 85000.00 KM on my baby.

1976 Datsun says:

Where is the video on the recalls and band-aid fixes that you mentioned at about 2:00? Thanks.

Mark A. says:

Hi FordTechMakuloco, is one of the symptoms of a bad lead frame that the vehicle won't start in Park but it will start in Neutral?

I have a 2014 F150 3.5 Ecoboost with a no crank, no start condition. If you put the truck in Neutral it will start. Can you please give me some starting points of things to check? Thank you.

James Puccio says:

I understand the filing of Trans Fluid. But what about the Fluid in the Trans cooler? How do we fill after draining the cooler. Is there a way for draw using vacuum from the return line to fill the transmission completely?

Chad Ison says:

I have a 2014 with the same issue but the recall only goes to 2013. It jumps into first or second and the rear locks up

Dominick Pitts says:

I was going 70 and the speed sensor messed up speed went to 0 and rpms and gears stayed the same but the good thing is , is there’s a recall for that exact problem rn

Gotcha life_ aubs says:

I just replaced the lead frame on my 2012 Expedition because it had an output speed sensor code and it had erratic shifting. Now the truck wont start at all and has 4 codes. P0706, P0707, P0770, and P0962 any Ideas on where I screwed up? Thanks in advance

NDIrishfan71 says:

When he says Ford did not spend enough to really fix the issue it tells you how they regard their customers. Your money is not worth it to them to make things right correctly. I will never buy another Ford after the one we got now. My 2004 Silverado is more reliable than the 2015 Ford we have.

Orlando Nightengale says:

Your video tutorial is great.. I have a 2017 Ford f150 5.0 liter 4×4 Lariat, and I’m having issues with blind spot system fault, cross traffic system fault , RPM will be on 500 but the vehicle is idling high, transmission will be bucking and truck will start to loose speed, once I shut the vehicle off it won’t start and the check light engine will start to blink , eventually the truck will start and will start acting up… do you have any idea on what’s going on ?
Thanks
