One of the major problems with the 6.4 starts with the DPF (soot cooker).
When it clogs it forces the computer to run RE-GEN more often which fries
the seal in the turbo. Then the engine oil just passes through the turbo
and out the tailpipe until there is no oil left in the engine. Bearings
will spin, and the whole engine will be toast.
Just take it all off. There is no way your going to break down before the
warranty expires. No reason these motors can’t go a million+ miles if they
are cared for. If they are left stock, use stock oil, stock fuel filter,
dpf, egr, stock tune, etc. its gonna be toast in 250, or at least you will
have spent 10 grand on injectors, head gaskets, plugged egrs, burnt out
turbos, and cracked pistons. Go to powerstrokehelp channel on youtube if
you haven’t seen it.
I want to know if i have either a 6.4 or 6.7 Powerstroke. how can i remove
the DPF system with the truck STILL being legal. and with warranty still
valid? doesnt the computer check for that and if its not there it wont turn
on?
What is the point of just deleteing the DPF and letting the catalyst there?
Either way, you void the warranty. The kits are basically the same price
and easier to install seeing as how you dont split the DPF and the
catalyst. Waste of time in my opinion. If you’re going to do something, do
it right or don’t do it at all.
Some people prefer to leave the catalytic converter on so their truck won’t
reek of diesel as much, plus it helps keep their ride quieter. I personally
love the sound of a straight piped diesel, but to each their own, for their
own needs.
From what iv been told, you can just remove the DPF & not have problem. If
the DPF is removed the truck would be in a limp mode. You have to turn off
the regen cycle. So its really not as easy as removing the DPF & youre good
to go.
I’ve read through some of the responses. I think that that is a very good
vid. My cousin simply wants to get powerful with gals. He began to
understand a fuck load from Master Attraction. (Google it.) The
recommendations on how to get women through nightclubs in those emails
through that site got got him his first sexual encounters in a number of
long years. I’m pissed however coz I heard them all. Nasty.
no tuner was needed what about fault codes ?
IDK About anyone else but that user “powerstrokehelp” guy is fucking
annoying!
Great video
Don’t you have to add some kind of fluid to trucks with DPF?
In 2015, mandatory 50-state emissions testing will begin. So, for those of
you that have done this, you’ll pay high $ to install it all over again. 😀
DO YOU HAVE TO HAVE A NEW DOWNLOAD FOR THE TRUCK? I HAVE THE DIABLO SPORT
TUNER FOR THE 6.4. HOW MUCH ARE THESE DELETE PIPES? THANKS.
@northsiderollers As for the warranty thst will never happen
thats a nice truck
On this truck was there a tune installed to go with the pipe??
Yes you do.
08 f350 .Do have to do anything to the computer? Does this create better
fuel mileage? does this create more horsepower? Thanx Gord.

Purchase a sct programmer it will stop the regen cycle
All I see is them taking off the DPF & installing a straight pipe. What
turns off the regen mode?
@northsiderollers I meant your warranty will be void… As in you saying
will the warranty still be valid, and I said that that will never happen.
get used to the DPF, as its the future of all diesel powered vehicles
@patJPbryan I think its a spartan tune or something. those sensors won’t
turn of the DPF. you need to tune it to shut it down.
Do you need any programmer to delete catalytic converter ?
And put the whole pipe back in?
Ok im confused some people say i need a programmer for the DPF delete kit
and some say you don’t. Which is true all i want is better MPG’s
Some regens are based on sensing build up in the dpf. No dpf, no regens.
Its ALMOST that easy.
You need a programmer that will remove the regen process. Going rate is
around $900
@MrMustang210 im not sure what you meant. meaning it wont effect the
warranty?
Could you just hollow the DPF out?
did you have to use a programmer to delete the dpf in the computer?
AWESOME Vid MAN!!!! Just bought 2008 F250 Lariat Diesel. Can’t wait to do
this!! Thank again!!
Junk… my cat clogged with all the extra soot, if your going to do this,
buy the cat/dpf delete, so much better

the engine also needs that little bit of extra back pressure. check out
powerstrokehelp videos. Tones of great info!
DPF-R is a programmer. & yes youd need it to do a DPF delete.
what do u do with the urea?
or you could get a switch that routes the exhaust to a straight pipe and
then back into the exhaust pipe… ever thought of that? lol
Camera man got hosed with PB Blaster and the video is messed up.
can u put down the sight and what sct pragrammer to stop the regan cylce i
have a 6.4 2008
@MrMustang210 oh ok. well that sucks i dont want the DPF on such an awesome
truck. but i want my warranty! lol
Whats the tune and stops the dpf cycle or is it automatic becuase the
sensors dont read anything
this might be a dumb question but what is a dpf

Basically a fancy catalytic converter for diesels… Diesel particulate
filter

this is a 6.4l PS. doesn’t have UREA.
