I’ve heard that the ford truck’s of those years the plugs tend to break
and or strip in the heads. At blue collar we will not change plugs in the
newer fords,

5.4’s are JUNK! Mine was maintained , low mileage , and blew a spark plug
right out of the head. It took out the injector and coil pack with it.

DaddytechEnt says:

NOPE THAT WAS NOT YOUR PROBLEM , your problem starts with an F and ends in
a D
:o)

Damn I have an 04 and I get 100 miles to half a tank lol and I’ve put new
plugs coil packs..Air filter fuel filter..Additives..And still get 14 mpg
but I’m heavy on the pedal

Great video! I’ve got a 2000 f150 5.4 and been dreading doing the plugs.
Also, just wondering where you buy all your CRC products? I think they are
great and would use them more, but I can’t seem to find them anywhere…
Thanks!

thisoldguy64 says:

nice video, some good info, thanks, I have only owned fords and had the
best luck with them! the best thing I do is change the oil, I have a 95
aerostar, which I got in 96, now has 166000 mile on it, besides routine
maintains. the only I had to change was the mass air sensor! still have
it! I also drive a ford explorer.

vwfoolwhy says:

Had a Kia Sportage did the 140K service that included changing the plugs.
Unfortunately the person who did 70K service never used anything on the
threads of the plugs. Needless to say a simple service. Turned in to a big
job quick…

iceman22st says:

Had my share of stuck plugs in my time. The Phone company garage I worked
at for years, used motorcraft plugs in everything except the small Honda or
Briggs powered generators.

RobsPackanShine says:
